Rurōni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan | One of my favorite anime

I had some time wanting to write about this anime that I enjoyed as a child. I have always enjoyed watching movies, series or anime that are based on the era of the feudal wars in Japan. Samurai with their swords and fight with honor to the point of giving their lives for the nation, or at least that is what many stories tell.

Tenia algún tiempo queriendo escribir sobre este anime que disfrute cuando era niño. Siempre he disfrutado ver películas, series o animes que estén ambientados en la era de las guerras feudales en Japón. Samuráis con sus espadas y luchan con honor hasta el punto de dar sus vidas por la nación, o por lo menos eso es lo que cuentan muchas historias.

Rurōni Kenshin, known in my country as Samurai X, tells us the story of a samurai warrior who gave up fighting, but whose past precedes him as the most famous assassin. In a more peaceful Japan, this samurai decides to leave behind his bloody past and not to kill anymore. To vindicate himself, he decides to help people, under another name, and use the blunt side of his sword if necessary. Don't worry that I won't spoil this animated series, in case you haven't seen it.

Rurōni Kenshin, conocido en mi país como Samurái X, nos cuenta la historia de un guerrero samurái que abandono la lucha, pero cuyo pasado le antecede como el asesino más famoso. En un Japón un poco más tranquilo, este samurái decide dejar de lado ese pasado sangriento y no asesinar más. Para reivindicarse, decide ayudar a las personas, bajo otro nombre y utilizar el lado no filoso de su espada de ser necesario. No te preocupes que no hare spoiler sobre esta serie animada, por si no la has visto.

It is inevitable that your past does not haunt you when you have committed terrible things and this is the case of the main character, Kenshin Himura. His dark past begins to haunt him and he is forced to protect the one he loves, his friends and peace of mind. Will he ever use the edge of his sword to kill again? This is something we will come to discover throughout the anime.

Con ese objetivo, salva a una chica que se llama Kaoru y desde este punto veremos cómo surge un romance hermoso, batallas increíbles y como se forma una familia de personas marginas o abandonadas. Es inevitable que tu pasado no te persiga cuando has cometido cosas terribles y así es el caso del protagonista, Kenshin Himura. Su pasado oscuro comienza a perseguirlo y se ve obligado a proteger a quien ama, a sus amigos y la tranquiladad. ¿Volverá a utilizar el filo de su espada para matar? Es algo que llegaremos a descubrir a lo largo del anime.

Rurōni Kenshin was first broadcast on January 10, 1996 on a television station in Japan and in the following years, it began to reach the rest of the world. It is an anime that has 66 chapters that keep the original story written in the manga and another 32 that form a filling. I must point out that the final episode was not broadcast on television but in VHS and DVD format.

Rurōni Kenshin fue emitido por primera vez el 10 de enero de 1996 en una televisora en Japón y en los años siguientes, comenzó a llegar al resto del mundo. Es un anime que cuenta con 66 capítulos que mantienen la historia original escrita en el manga y otros 32 que forman un relleno. Debo señalar que el episodio final no fue emitido por televisión sino en formato de VHS y DVD.

This anime is loaded with a deep history of Japan and although we will not see episodes where we are not of a history class, we will hear names, dates, cities and events of ages of Japan that are loaded with a lot of history. The author mixed real events with fiction to give a renewed touch to the series. This in particular I love, if you are a fan of Japanese history, in a way the anime will catch you with the historical elements and if you are not, you will enjoy good battles, unparalleled romance and laughter.

Este anime esta cargado con una profunda historia de Japón y aunque no veremos episodios donde se no de una clase de historia, escucharemos nombres, fechas, ciudades y acontecimientos de eras del Japón que están cargadas de muchísima historia. El autor mezclo acontecimientos reales con la ficción para dar un toque renovado a la serie. Esto en lo particular me encanta, si eres fan de la Historia del Japón, de cierta manera el anime te atrapada con los elementos históricos y sino lo eres, disfrutaras de buenas batallas, un romance sin igual y risas.

The fighting styles are real as are many of the names of the fighting techniques used throughout the anime. Not to mention the weapons, each character has different techniques and styles, this gives a unique touch to the series. I dare to say that this anime influenced me a lot about my preferences because I wanted to know Japan and its culture. My preferences for selecting characters in video games that have a samurai sword or that use fighting styles such as kendo.

Los estilos de lucha son reales al igual que mucho de los nombres de las técnicas de lucha que se utilizan a lo largo del anime. Ni hablar de las armas, cada personaje tiene técnicas y estilos diferentes, esto le da un toque único a la serie. Me atrevo a decir que este anime influencio bastante en mi sobre mis gustos por querer conocer Japón y su cultura. Mis gustos por seleccionar a personajes en los videojuegos que tengan una espada samurái o que utilicen estilos de lucha como el kendo.
