Since I was a child I have always been curious to see what lies behind everyday monuments of my city and admire what for many is not something to be careful, however sometimes curiosity kills the cat and walking frwnrw to an imposing obelisk I remembered an old story that I was told some time ago.

It was the story of some children who in their December mischief decided one day after passing many times in front of an obelisk in their city to go inside it to observe the surrounding streets with a privileged view, so they tried to talk to the person in charge of the obelisk to be able to enter, but he told them that it was closed.
They asked why it was closed, to which the man replied that it was dangerous, that a tragedy had happened there and that there was no passage.
The children investigated in the town archives and found the disappearance of a little girl who was found lifeless in that monument, which did nothing but incite them to see what was inside, maybe there was a serial killer? Or a ghost?
The curiosity led them to generate a plan to snatch the caretaker of his keys and to enter, which they did.
Upon entering, they found nothing unusual, just the staircase and a view that was not what they expected, nothing particularly macabre.
Until they heard a metallic noise as they descended and the last of them shouted! A step was false and his friend was falling from what was left of the ladder, they tried to call for help but those who heard them could not arrive in time and the young man was falling until he was left with a neck injury that keeps him in a chair until today...
The dangers are not exciting, they are just dangers.... And curiosity killed the cat...
