China launches its reusable experimental spacecraft

It is suspected that in both cases they can be used to carry out experiments or surveillance tasks, to put it in a friendly way, there is not much information about them.

The Chinese only say that it is for their planetary defense, from them and that is fine, although a meteorite of more than 100 kilometers in diameter would reverberate in a large part of the planet, but the advantage is that a monster like that could be seen and detected with many years in advance, with which we could take measures such as divert it, even if it is a little bit.

Diverting it one centimeter from its trajectory several years in advance would result in a small variation in its path of a billion kilometers. You can assume that this Comet passes by and does not impact the earth, so the sooner it is detected and the sooner they begin to put measures in place to anticipate the impact or divert it before it could be fixed.

But of course, as some movies have taught us in which the comet or the asteroid is already almost in the orbit of the moon, there we can no longer do anything with such monsters, we have to do it much earlier; but if we get down to it, I think that in a margin of about 10 years we could in fact have in October, this fall, the first test to deflect an asteroid is going to be carried out, it is the Dark mission of NASA and China that is underway another similar mission intends to deflect another asteroid.
