Summer Station With Colours!
I went out in midday today and boy was it scorching hot! Indeed it is very much still summer out here in the Philippines. How about the place where you are, Hive friend? How's the weather? And is it to your liking?
Speaking of summer, one of the most unforgettable summer trips I've ever had was the one time when I went to the island of Bantayan. I went there with my sister Sway and it was definitely the highlight of our 2021 summer!
We stayed for three days and two nights, and managed to squeeze a Day Tour in between. The said tour took us to the most famous tourist spots in the island, as per the locals. It's a short but super productive trip for me. What's more fun was that this said summer trip was made known to me a week or two prior the dates, as this was originally planned by my sister and her friend (who bailed out, apprently). It was a blessing in disguise because I've been spared of planning everything for the trip hahaha!
The pictures in this post were taken at Jelly's Haven Resort. As you may have noticed, everywhere is filled with colour! From its designs to the chairs and tables, the place is vomiting rainbows. How summer could a place get right? As for my outfit, both were already worn by me prior the trip, but it was the first time I paired this top and maxi skirt with slits. I think that the colored outfit was an overkill with the colours of the place. I wished I could have picked more neutral tones back then. But as I didn't have much time preparing for the trip, I guess I could go easy on this mistake haha.
So if you plan to visit Jelly's Haven and take photos, make sure to go neutral for your outfit if you want to make a statement in your pictures. Otherwise you'll blend with all their colours so it's not going to give a stark and crisp comparison when you take shots. Then you can also hold a practical prop, like the one I'm holding (a watermelon shake). It's to give off that legit summer vibe you want to go for. 📸
