Buffalo Brad's Hot Wings & Pre-Birthday Date

What's up, fellow foodies?! Good food does make friendship grow stronger, right? I do not know the magic behind food but it does make wonders and I know you'd all agree. Today's post is a short life update of last week's pre-birthday date with my friend Chelle @itschrichel who just joined Hive. 💕 She had questions about the platform so we made a point to meet to discuss about them and what better way to do it than over good food, correct? 😅 It's her birthday on the 13th so we decided it's a pre-birthday date as well.

We went to Sugbu Mercado first but hell yeah what a long queue it was! Both of us were already hungry so we just decided to pick a restaurant close by. (We were able to get in Sugbu Mercado after our dinner and I took photos of the place which I will post in a separate blog, as the pictures were too many lol!) When I spotted New York Buffalo Brad's HOT Wings, I suggested we go there and glad that Chelle agreed. The place was packed, too, but it was a great timing that one table emptied just as we're done ordering food. When we got seated, we chatted, and waited for about fifteen (15) minutes before our chicken wings had arrived.

Our orders, yay! We had 6 pieces Garlic Parmesan and 6 pieces Sweet Spicy all for us!

Any 6 pieces costs PHP 218, which for me is not that bad, since the both quality and quantity are a good-deal.

QUICK REVIEW: As they are known for their spicy wings, I am satisfied with the flavour and the "spiciness" of their chicken wings. There are basically four levels of "spicy", by the way, which are: Moderate, Hot, Wild and Insane. Their "moderate" is already spicy, so I suggest you try this first before trying the more extreme ones. I love that their chicken meat is spicy, not just the skin or outer part--this makes their spicy wings stand out as compared to other restaurants I suppose. The garlic parmesan and sweet-spicy sauce flavours taste G-O-O-D!! By far the best I've had, chickenwings-wise. 😅 If you are a fan of spicy buffalo wings, I definitely recommend Brad's! It is worth every penny. ^wink, wink

During our dinner, aside from our Hive discussion, we also did catch up. Chelle and I haven't seen each other for a couple of weeks now since she's already working-from-home while I'm still at the office. We used to go home together but then of course that changed since our work set-up changed. Anyway, we were able to talk and chat about our "life updates" and I'm happy that she's positively happy with her "love life" (yep, in quotation marks haha). I asked about her upcoming birthday and all that stuff.

Once we were full, we then took a walk because damn that was LOTS of chicken wings HAHA. WE WERE SO FULL--so we had to take breather-walks lol. We got inside Sugbu Mercado (a whole different post) and then got our drinks and went out.

We randomly decided to test our photography "skills" (or the lack thereof for me lol).

Oh yeah I forgot to mention earlier. Before we had our dinner, we grabbed milk teas at The Teacup Private Branch. I met with my two dear students as a pre-valentine milktea catch-up date. 🖤

PS, I HAD AN AMAZING WEEKEND WITH TWO OF MY MOST FAVORITE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD! I'll be sharing a few photos of our weekendventure. Yaaaassss.
