Jesus gets straight to the point, he doesn't beat around the bush. His message is direct, precise, and forceful. If we thought following him would be super convenient or super popular, we'd be very wrong, because following Jesus is a decision that often can't be costly.
In this text, we see that it first says, "if anyone is willing." This tells us that it's not an obligation or an order, it's an invitation, and we can accept or pass up the opportunity. Later, it says, "Let him refuse." I close the quotation marks. This means it's not about putting our desires first, but rather about getting to know God more and more and putting Him at the center of our plans, and before our desires, our emotions.
When He tells us to take up our cross every day, He's telling us to live with a clear mission, knowing that we will face resistance and struggle, but walking under His purpose with a clear mission, the path becomes much more enjoyable. It's not just about believing and that's it. The Lord says, "Follow me." I close the quotation marks. This means we have to take Him as an example and love Him as He is, act as He is, and make the decisions He would make.
Now if all this seems little to us, let's read this text again, which says, "Whoever wants to save their life will lose it... But whoever loses their life for me will save it." This is the most important point; it's a key point, since here Jesus gives us a change of perspective, a change of GPS, since the true meaning of living is not in saving our lives but in giving them up and living with purpose day by day.
And he said to them all, "If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."

Jesús va directo al grano, no anda con muchas vueltas, en su mensaje es directo, preciso y contundente, si seguirle pensábamos que sería algo Super cómodo o Super popular, estamos muy equivocados ya que seguirle a Jesús es una decisión que muchas veces no puede costar.
En este texto vemos que en primer lugar dice: "si alguno quiere" esto nos indica que no es una obligación ni una orden, es una invitación y nosotros podemos aceptar o dejar pasar la oportunidad, más adelante dice "niéguese asimismo cierro comillas esto significa que no se trata de poner por delante nuestros deseos sino, de conocer más y más a Dios y ponerlo a él en el centro de nuestros planes y antes que nuestros deseos nuestras emociones.
Cuándo nos dice que tomemos nuestra cruz cada día, nos está diciendo de vivir con una misión clara sabiendo que tendremos resistencia y lucha pero caminando bajo su propósito con una misión clara el camino se hace mucho más ameno. No se trata sólo de creer y listo, el señor dice: "y sígame cierro comillas esto significa que tenemos que tomarle como ejemplo y amar como es, actuar como es y tomar las decisiones que él tomaría.
Ahora si todo esto nos parece poco, leamos nuevamente este texto que dice "el que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá… Pero el que pierda su vida por mí, la salvará" esto es lo más importante, es un punto clave ya que aquí Jesús nos hace un cambio de chip, un cambio de GPS ya que el verdadero sentido de vivir no está en guardar la vida sino en entregarla y vivir con propósito día a día.
Y decía a todos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, tome su cruz cada día, y sígame.
Porque todo el que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá; y todo el que pierda su vida por causa de mí, la salvará.
