Simple safety techniques are used by vegetable farmers to protect plants from animals and pests.

HELLO HIVE

Vegetable farming activities require an important protective measure to protect the vegetables from pests that feed on them, most farming activities require some sort of protection from pests and animals but it is more urgent in vegetable plants than in so many crop plants. Animals in these cases can either be the animals around that surrounding or the animals that come from distant places and it could also be cows that nomadic farmers go around with in search of feed.

Farmers who cultivate different crops during the harmattan season in Nigeria and some other African countries have a lot of work on their hands during that period, it gets very frustrating sometimes and there's nothing farmers can do in some cases different kinds of measures are put in place by farmers to protect their farms from them and any kind of confrontation has resulted in fights breaking out in most parts of the country 😔 but farmers are also looking for other measures like fence and some kinds of chemicals that give out a bad odor that makes this animals move away from the farm.

The fence I talked about doesn't have to be tall but just a fence that is some meters high that way this nomadic farmer will notice the presence of our farms around that way they can divert their animals away from it but if there is any case of them breaking through it then I can take things a step further, we can't not just stop farming around this time because of things like this with the level of importance that agriculture has both locally and internationally so we have to seek for ways to keep on farming.

Thank you for viewing my blog 😊.

It is indeed a nice protection but in our farm, I prefer to use long bamboos so that thieves and animals can't get easily climb or went inside to eat the plants.
