Livestock farming 🐐🐔: one very profitable homestead activity to engage in

Livestock is one of the most reliable ways to turn your small homestead into an income-generating source 🐔.

You don't need much space to get started, nor do you require a substantial income to begin. That's why it fits well on our homestead.

Whether it is goats, poultry birds, or both, you don't need much to start, though these days things are a little bit costly, especially birds' feed.

It is still nothing compared to the income you will be making from it.

Since I was a kid we've always had this culture where there's always going to be one certain livestock that we are rearing around our house.

We hardly went to the market to get meat cause we had poultry birds, which were the local breads, and goats all around the house.

Then we only reared the local breeds of poultry birds, but now we've extended into rearing the exotic breeds that grow faster and better, though they require better feeds that cost more compared to how much it costs to rear local breeds.

Rearing local breads meant we spent almost nothing cause this birds were able to fend for themselves. Scrap and leftovers, all we needed to provide was the birds' shelter, which these birds hardly even use.

The goats go around feeding on grasses and leftovers around there was a point when we had over 20 goats and birds that we couldn't keep count of.

You should try putting that space to use, get some birds to fill up the empty spaces on your compound, and you will be glad you did 🐔🐐.
