Desde que entré en Hive he dejado en claro mis gustos, a pesar de ser muy variados, hay temas que a menudo captan mi atención, géneros que puedo ver incansablemente, al ver títulos de ciencia ficción, serán muy probablemente de mi elección, es de esos géneros en que simplemente veo las producciones sin leer noticias o reseñas, en este tipo de producciones apuesto por la sorpresa.
Pienso que el género de ciencia ficción es de esos que logran ser importantes para nuestro avance en la tecnología, sin embargo, es una buena manera de alertar a la humanidad sobre los riesgos de algunas tecnologías avanzadas dentro de la sociedad, en ese sentido Paradise nos propone una historia de ciencia ficción que va ligada directamente con la vida y el tiempo de cada persona en este planeta, tan solo esa simple frase puede cautivar a cualquier amante de este maravilloso género literario.
Para esta reseña deseo opinar sobre el contexto en que se desarrolla el filme, sin tocar puntos de la trama, solamente para situar al lector en el mundo que nos presenta esta producción de ciencia ficción, sin embargo, en el guion se reflejará cada característica a su debido tiempo.
La ciencia para la vida
Para los que estamos atentos a las noticias, sabemos el avance que existe en las investigaciones de células madres, con la finalidad de regenerar órganos, tejidos y cualquier parte del cuerpo, haciendo que la vida pueda extenderse muchos más años de lo que estamos acostumbrados hasta este momento.
El filme aborda este tema, pero con una especie de balanza, es decir, se puede vivir más años y rejuvenece un viejo y deteriorado cuerpo, pero esos años y la juventud vienen de otro cuerpo, otra persona que debe sacrificar de sus años de vida, salud e incluso apariencia física para que otro ser humano se vea más joven y pueda vivir más tiempo.
¿Qué pasaría si este tipo de tecnología aparece en nuestra sociedad?
El filme aborda de lo que me parece una manera muy acertada esta pregunta, para bien o para mal, los ricos, dueños de grandes corporaciones y sus aliados serían los primeros en recibir años de vida, así como lógico, el que tenga para pagar una prórroga sobre su existencia la pagará, sin embargo, existe un efecto importante en quienes serían los donantes de esos años, evidentemente los pobres y necesitados.
En esta historia distopía se aborda el tema propagandístico y de manipulación acorde a nuestro enfoque moderno del bien y el mal, los derechos y del aprovechamiento de la necesidad para presentar una propuesta salvadora, así dejar en pie y muy bien representado, un sistema perverso y corrupto.

Los pobres viven en lo que parecen unos contenedores, se nota una sobrepoblación en ciertos lugares relativamente pequeños, las calles a penas son transitables y se encuentran a las afueras de una ciudad moderna y poderosa, dando a entender visualmente lo que ocurre.

Uno de los personajes del filme compara a las personas de clase baja con el ganado, haciéndolo reproducir en un ambiente controlado, pero sabiendo que puede sacar provecho a ese ganado con cierta dosis de manipulación en forma de elección con un aire a libertad bastante artificial.
Al cumplir los 18 años, cada persona puede ser contacto por la empresa para tramitar una solicitud de donación de años de vida, es decir, se le pagará una cuantiosa suma de dinero a aquellas personas que accedan a rebajar su estadía en este plano, por dinero, si bien parece una decisión propia del individuo, la propaganda, manipulación y las condiciones adversas en que viven las personas les hace llevar a cabo la donación con la ilusión de que es una elección.
Es evidente que lo que se muestra en la propaganda y en el argumento defensor de la venta de años de vida son aspectos como, los premios Nobel se les otorgará más años de vida, la investigación por parte de los genios continuará sin que la muerte sea un impedimento, así mismo la solución del cambio climático, debido a que los ricos pueden vivir eternamente se abocaron a cuidar el planeta, algo que puede causar algo de risa, pero que esconde una oscura lógica impregnada en verdad.
Ventas clandestinas
Este efecto tecnológico también tiene un efecto en la clandestinidad, en donde clínicas ilegales junto a grupos terroristas de trata de personas operan, abriendo una brecha de sufrimiento e injusticias por todo el mundo.
La vida y la muerte
Me agradan los filmes de ciencia ficción que se introducen en ese miedo natural a la muerte, en el cual es intercambiado por dinero a través de un avance tecnológico, así he visto varios filmes interesantes, sin embargo, esta propuesta coloca no solo el tiempo en la balanza, también la salud y el deterioro del cuerpo al envejecer, a diferencia de la película In Time en la cual se basa en el mismo concepto, pero todos poseían cuerpos de jóvenes de 23 años, este filme le otorga ese condimento de deterioro que hace que incluso sea más impactante o reflexivo.

La película me pareció interesante, sobre todo, todo ese contexto en que se va desarrollando el filme, sin embargo, pienso que tiene algunos aspectos en los cuales se pudo mejorar, algunas actuaciones no me convencieron del todo y quizás esperaba un ritmo un poco más acelerado, además, el filme intenta hacer giros en la trama, pero no nos toman por sorpresa, de hecho, son muy evidentes así que termina siendo aspecto negativo al filme.
No es un filme perfecto, sin embargo, posee una historia con mucho potencial y eso definitivamente capto mi atención, además de que la trama si tiene una dosis de emoción y entretenimiento necesarios para que valga la pena invertir casi dos horas de nuestra vida en este filme.
¿La Recomiendo?
Para los amantes de la ciencia ficción, críticas al sistema con un toque conspiratorio es una muy buena opción dentro de una historia distópica que vale la pena ver, aunque no sea perfecta.

For this review I want to give my opinion about the context in which the film is developed, without touching points of the plot, only to place the reader in the world that presents this science fiction production, however, the script will reflect each feature in due time.
Science for life
For those of us who are attentive to the news, we know the progress that exists in stem cell research, in order to regenerate organs, tissues and any part of the body, making life can extend many more years than what we are used to at this time.
