¿Película de Espionaje?

El espionaje es un tema que me atrae a las películas, pero pensar en películas de espías la mente viaja automáticamente a producciones como las de James Bond, con artefactos con alta tecnología, acción y disparos autos lujosos con ametralladoras a los costados o el típico bolígrafo bomba. Esta producción se aleja totalmente de este género de acción, recordando que esta producción se introduce en el género dramático por lo cual si el espectador busca una película de espías con muchos disparos y explosiones no debería seleccionar The Courier.

Greville Wynne no es espía, ni siquiera recibe algún entrenamiento básico de protección personal, tampoco recibe ningún arma, solo debe cumplir la tarea de trasladar información (documentos) desde la unión soviética y entregarla al servicio de inteligencia británico, definitivamente una misión mucho mas fácil que las de James Bond, pero si nos colocamos en los zapatos de este vendedor de productos industriales sentiremos esa presión mezclada con una intriga y angustia por cumplir con el objetivo sin ser detectados por el ejercito rojo, lo que provocaría la muerte no sin antes pasar por dolorosas torturas físicas y psicológicas.

¿Suspenso?

La película nos presenta un suspenso que si bien no es constante lo sentiremos en algunas escenas, todo recae en la posibilidad de que el protagonista sea descubierto por algún agente de inteligencia o militar soviético, por momentos sentiremos el suspenso, sin embargo, no es un suspenso muy tenso ni tampoco tan significativo o constante como lo debería mostrar este tipo de películas. Desde mi punto de vista esta película puede mostrar un suspenso mas aplastante para el espectador aprovechando esa fama despiadada que posee el ejercito rojo en contra de sus enemigos, pasar por barreras o alcabalas con tropas armadas debería acelerar mucho el corazón, sin embargo, no existen muchas escenas de este tipo en la película, al menos desde a mi parecer le falta suspenso más significativo para ser una producción que sobresalga.

Fotografía y Ambientación

Estos aspectos tienen una excelente calidad en esta producción, básicamente nos hacen retroceder en el tiempo, me agrada este tipo de ambientaciones con una fotografía un tanto oscura que hace realzar el sentimiento o el drama de la trama. En lo particular pienso que la fotografía al igual que la ambientación juega un rol muy importante en este tipo de películas históricas y que introducen al espectador en la época y en las situaciones que si bien conocemos en gran parte pero que nos hace sentirla o vivirla dentro de una producción cinematográfica, siempre y cuando sea un trabajo correctamente realizado.

Actuación:

Benedict Cumberbatch realiza un excelente trabajo, es uno de los actores que se encuentra en la cúspide de la industria del cine y del entretenimiento, es de esos personajes que pretenden muchas casas productoras para desarrollar sus proyectos y en este caso no decepciona con una muy buena actuación y adaptación al personaje. Por otro lado tenemos al actor georgiano Merab Ninidze, actor que realiza el papel de Oleg, me parece que su actuación también es de resaltar, creo que cuando ambos personajes se encuentran en pantalla se nota una buena química entre ellos, me ha agradado sus actuaciones sobre todo cuando aparecen juntos en pantalla.

Merab Ninidze protagoniza una de mis escenas favoritas de esta película, en la cual se reúne con un agente de inteligencia soviético y en donde creo se desarrolla la mayor tensión en la película, una escena corta, bien desarrollada y con emociones que saltan de la pantalla al pecho del espectador.

Opinión Final

Me agradaron varios aspectos como la actuación, la ambientación y la fotografía, todo inspirado en una historia basada en un hecho real e importante para ese momento donde dos potencias nucleares se peleaban la hegemonía del mundo, sin embargo, la falta de un suspenso continuo e impactante es uno de sus puntos mas negativos desde mi punto de vista, a pesar de desarrollar la historia bajo un guion bien estructurado creo que se debería mostrar más ese temor que provoca la posibilidad de ser descubierto por el enemigo.

Es una buena película a pesar de ciertas limitaciones, así como lo mencioné al principio de este post a pesar de no ser una película de espionaje al estilo James Bond vale la pena verla. Posee a mi parecer un ritmo adecuado para el desarrollo de la trama introducido en una historia bastante atractiva e interesante.

From my point of view this film can show a more crushing suspense for the viewer taking advantage of that ruthless fame that has the red army against its enemies, passing through barriers or checkpoints with armed troops should accelerate much heart, however, there are not many scenes of this type in the film, at least since in my opinion it lacks more significant suspense to be a production that excels.

I liked several aspects such as acting, setting and photography, all inspired by a story based on a real and important fact for that time where two nuclear powers were fighting the hegemony of the world, however, the lack of a continuous and shocking suspense is one of its most negative points from my point of view, despite developing the story under a well structured script I think it should show more that fear that causes the possibility of being discovered by the enemy.

It is a good movie in spite of certain limitations, as I mentioned at the beginning of this post, even though it is not a James Bond style espionage movie, it is worth watching. It possesses in my opinion an adequate pace for the development of the plot introduced in a quite attractive and interesting story.
