I knew you would reply that way, my friend 😀
I do hope that it works as you wish, but I do also hope that the Hive price rises high enough that paying for such a surgery would be easy manageable 😉

You are a wise and kind man Hannes, but I think I have told you this before somewhere.

Thank you for the kind wishes, but I think that I should prepare my tool box to go and do a private job again somewhere to raise some cash.

Cheers and thanks.

Self earned money smells always better, but on the other hand, the money earned on the Hive is also made by your own hands :)

Thank you very much Zac 😃

Are you now also saying things like the Papillon board of advisors Hannes?
I have refused steadfastly, as the income is meant for Papillon's security, but maybe I must rather start to listen to them, which is not going to be easy for me.

Believe me when I say that I am not a martyr, but we don't need anything, as we are happy to live with lesser things. As long as we can eat, sleep and have a roof over our heads we are fine. Plus we have a car and no debts.

If only combination can grow then that would sove a lot of problems.

Cheers and thanks.

Well, my friend, you have to live, what would Papillon be without you? There are organisations which have presidents and employees who get paid from the donations like big managers. That's not right, but if someone who works day and night for a non profit organisation needs help, why not?

@combination is still young, but as far as I can see, the number of people who donate is growing.

My life is like that Hannes as I love what I do.
We have a board of advisors with a chairman and they are all volunteers, that also love what we do.
The one thing is that we do not have the funds to employ a professional fundraiser, so I have to do it all.

In order to cope with this, I have written some self funding generation projects that pays for the project expenses, by they have all been taken over by the communities up north.
Since we arrived here in the south 3 years ago, Papillon has had no income and I have worked on Hive. I have only once taken a powerdown, when we changed from steemit to Hive and never again, as I am building the account.
So let's see what happens in the long run.

Yes agreed, @combination still has a long run and it's growth will mean much for everybody, including Papillon, as once there is enough in it, then I can take powerdowns for Papillon.
Time will tell.

Cheers and thanks.

You are doing it the right way Zac, I just meant if the Hive price would rise real high it wouldn't matter if you take some money out.

Patience is the word here too and I know you are patient. The Hive will grow, I am sure and hope that it will go faster than we think.

I understood what you meant my friend and thank you for the care.
We might make the operation happen with a bit of luck as I have a few ideas. Or should I say that Marian has a few ideas, so let's see what happens.

The doctor has agreed to grant us extended time to get the money and he booked the operation for the 11th of November. So we have a few weeks to come up with a solution.

I think that all of us will really smile when Hive hits the $5 mark and we will smile even wider when it hits the $10 mark.

Cheers and thanks.

May your ideas work out as you wish, my friend 🤞
The 5 mark would be great and the 10 mark would mean that all our wishes come true 😀

Thank you and we are waiting for the total cost of the operation, including all of the extras.

Between you and me, I think that it will take a few more years for Hive to reach the heights 😉

Cheers and thanks.

I hope it will be less than you think - maybe a nice surprise.

I would rather have hoped you would have said months instead of years 😉

Hope is always an anchor in this world and it's attacks my friend.
But if no surprise, then it will never stop our hopes.

Months are not enough, as it will take time before they release that new Merc van that I was telling you about earlier. Who knows? As maybe by that time you will will be in the pound seats and you will be able to buy a new one with all of trimmings.

Cheers and thanks.

Still I am hoping for months, although I know you are right 😉

Instead of buying an expensive Mercedes I would rather buy a VW or a Peugeot or... and spend the rest of the money on a new camera or lenses ... just dreams anyway 😁

I saw that China is rethinking the ban on crypto miners and over here the banks are shutiing the accounts of crypto traders. People fear and don't understand crypto so they make hasty decisions.
In any case it's a good thing as it keeps crypto in the news which can only spell continued growth.

I have always liked the VW Caddie with the sliding doors at both sides and we even had a thought of trading our 2015, VW Polo in for one, but it worked out way too expensive for us.

My wish is that you will have enough for any new touring van and two new cameras with all of their lenses 🙏

Cheers and thanks.

Right, there are almost daily crypto news to hear and to see - that's a good sign I believe.

VW is also a very expensive brand, even used vans cost a lot more than other car brands. But at the moment I'll have to save money for my daughter's school anyway, but ahigh Hive price would change everything, of course ;)

I can hold only one camera, so one would be enough, and one or two additional lenses would be nice ... just dreams :)))

Yes indeed the more that we are in the news, the more we will grow.

In 2015 we had two cars. Marian had an Opel and I had a Tata truck. So we traded both in for our current VW Polo Maxx car, new and we only had to pay in a small amount to complete the purchase.
But you are right as VW is expensive and we cannot afford a new car.

Regard you daughter's school funds as an investment my friend and I hope for all our sakes that Hive will come to the party, sooner or later.

I often look with longing eyes at a Prada, 3 door SUV, diesel model, as they are 4 wheel driven and it will help us a lot on the dirt roads, but even the used ones are too expensive.

So, dream on and may your hopes come true.

Cheers and thanks.

Because I have never heard of a Prada car before, I had to ask Google and know now that it's a Toyota 😁 and it looks nice 👍

Yep, let's dream on and may our hopes come true 😀

Oh yes, Toyota has a very good name here and their trucks are the best sellers.
The African bush can be very tough on cars and the Toyotas last the best.
Prado has also built up an excellent reputation, but they are hard to get, as there are only a few used ones

I suppose that they don't call them Prado's over there, if you have any 😉

Dreams and hopes are always good to have 🙂

Cheers and thanks.

Here they call the Prado Land Cruiser. I have never driven a Toyoty, but I have friends who are driving Toyotas, and they are satisfied with the car.

... and one day I want to live my dreams 😎

We also have a Prdo Land Cruiser here and the Prado's come in a few different models.
Every second South African tries to own a Toyota and in fact my father in law and Marian's brother in law both drive Toyotas. They have an excellent reputation in our harsh conditions here.

One day may all of your dreams come true 🙂

Cheers and thanks.

So Toyota is moaning about less sales here, but in South Africa they make big sales ... actually I have no idea if Toyota's moaning, but these were my first thoughts 🤣

Hahaha, I think the the old adage, "don't let the left hand know what the right hand is doing" is at play in the Toyota business across the world.
Also my first thoughts to your reply 🤣

Cheers and thanks.
