My Actifit Report Card: June 30 2022

The last 48 haours have been a nightmare, having to be without electricity for over 48 hours have had my my routine disrupted.
The on going load shedding have been manageable, I just get my stuff done on time and have my devices charged to last the duration of the power cut.

Yesterday a truck drove past our street not just another truck but a City Power truck and bumped the overhead power line. Apparently they notice it but drove off, this snapped our power supply line as seen in the pictures.

Calls have been made to get this fixed but seeing we are the only house affected in the street, the likelihood of us getting quick attention is slim.

Its been a nightmare for me with my Hive related activities disrupted. I have to visit a family friend's office for electricity and get some posting done. I really hope staying without electricity in winter doesn't extend beyond 2 days.

I managed to get some steps count in through chores this morning.

City power or country rolling black outs all suck!

Local problem make sure to find the pole number to report, also try escalate to management that power is off due to their truck damaging, try send evidence....

!BEER to have a sundown after all most the time no power available, make the most of a bad situation in a country gone down the tubes!

Thanks Joan, the caretaker is going to their offices today after calls not being answered.
Crazy having to go through this in cold mornings and nights.

Warn the caretaker to take down the pole number, these guys do no know their own region which should help going prepared.

KZN is using 200 MW less power than last year due to most areas still badly effected having no power at all since flood damage, not being effected by rolling blackouts for now.

Come to think of it the affected of the KZN flood must be having a real tough time coping this time of the year. Not a good time to be without power.

Oh wow, sorry for that electricity situation. This are the times one wishes they had solar panels. We hardly go over twelve hours without power, but when its off it totally sucks. Its good to just get some walking done. Hopefully they have now restored it and wish you a wonderful Friday and weekend ahead :}

It's annoying, yes and 48 hours is long..., a week ago we have here 6 hours but planned for almost half of a town, they upgraded trafo-station because a lot of people have now solar on the roofs...
