A Simple Day Out That Meant Everything: Preparing for Love, Family, and Little Moments
Some days don’t need big plans to become special. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple errand, a short ride, and shared moments with the people you love. This story is one of those days—quiet, simple, but filled with meaning.

That morning, my son and I were preparing together while my husband was busy at work. He promised to fetch us after lunch, so it was just the two of us at home, getting ready for an important errand related to my cousin’s upcoming wedding on Monday, January 19, 2025. The house felt calm, yet busy in its own way. I was packing my son’s bag carefully—his clothes, little essentials, and things he might need—while also organizing my own belongings. while my son busy making on her art crayons. On top of that, I was preparing the food we would eat before leaving. It felt like a usual mommy routine, but my heart was happy knowing we were going out together.

Around 12 noon, my husband finally arrived. We were just about to eat our lunch, and everything felt perfectly timed. My husband is a bit shy on camera, so he joked that the food should be the main star of this story—hehe. We shared our meal, talked a little, and enjoyed the moment before heading out. Simple lunches like this, eaten together, are already a blessing in our busy lives.

While waiting for our ride, my husband went ahead to get the car. My son and I got in, and instantly, I could see the excitement on his face. He was so happy to ride again because this doesn’t happen often these days. As a work-from-home teacher, my time is mostly spent inside the house, and I know I haven’t been able to go out and treat my son as much as I want to. Maybe soon, I always tell myself. Seeing him excited reminded me why these small trips matter so much.

As we started our route, everything felt light. The road, the sky, the passing views—it felt refreshing. My son enjoyed the ride at first, looking around and asking questions, but like most kids, he eventually got bored. Still, even his little complaints made me smile. Before we knew it, we finally arrived at our destination: the MFC house in Turayong, City of Cauayan, Isabela.

The moment we arrived, my son’s excitement returned. He was about to see his suit for the wedding. And when he finally tried it on—tada! He looked so handsome. Honestly, I felt like I suddenly had a big brother beside me and not my baby anymore. Huhu—just kidding, but also not really. Time really flies, and moments like this make you realize how fast children grow.

While my son was busy, it was also my turn. I’m one of the bridesmaids at my cousin’s wedding, so I needed to fit my gown as well. I was truly excited because I already loved the color and the way it looked on me. Seeing it fit just right made me even more excited for the wedding day. Being part of my cousin’s special moment means a lot to me, and I’m grateful to share that joy with her.

After everything was done, we said our goodbyes to the people at the MFC house. We left with smiles on our faces and happiness in our hearts. The ride back home felt peaceful. I realized how these small things—simple errands, short rides, quick fittings—can bring so much joy. I felt happy, less stressed, and truly relaxed. Seeing beautiful surroundings, breathing fresh air, and spending time with my son made me feel unwound in a way I didn’t even realize I needed.
This day reminded me that happiness doesn’t always come from big events. Sometimes, it’s found in quiet moments, shared rides, and simple family time. I’m thankful for this experience and for the chance to step outside my usual routine, even just for a while.
Next week, I’ll be uploading content about my cousin’s wedding, and I hope you’ll continue to support me. Thank you so much for reading and for being part of my journey. I truly hope you enjoyed this story as much as I enjoyed living it.
