Hello #Hive friends!.... I hope you had a great year 2023's first day... I am here reappearing with my Stolen Stories in black and white and ready to share with you a lot more... Last December was very abundant in street photography for me, so I have plenty to draw from to continue doing this... So... let's keep going!

¡Hola amigos de #Hive!... Espero que hayan pasado un excelente primer día del año 2023... Yo estoy aquí reapareciendo con mis Historias Robadas en blanco y negro y dispuesto a compartir con ustedes muchísimo más... El pasado Diciembre fue muy abundante en fotografías de calle para mi, así que tengo bastante de donde echar mano para continuar haciendo esto... Así que... ¡sigamos adelante!

"The grandmother who always sweeps".... This is something curious and that's why I took several photos for this story... It is about a nice old lady who I always observe sweeping in front of her humble home, which is in one of the last streets of the town, which faces a rural road...

"La abuela que siempre barre"... Esto es algo curioso y por eso realicé varias fotos para esta historia... Se trata de una linda anciana a la cual siempre observo barriendo en el frente de su humilde hogar, el cual está en una de las ultimas calles del pueblo, la cual da hacia un camino rural...

The curious thing is that she is always there when I usually walk down that street a little into the dirt roads, then I usually walk by her side and greet her with a "good morning".... She answers in a very low voice, but without raising her face and without stopping sweeping the road...

Lo curioso es que ella siempre está allí cuando suelo caminar por esa calle adentrarme un poco en los caminos de tierra, entonces suelo pasar caminando a su lado y le saludo con un "buenos días"... Ella contesta en voz muy baja, pero sin alzar el rostro y sin dejar de barrer el camino...

I can take a lot of pictures and she doesn't even flinch.... It's almost as if I'm invisible!... But it never ceases to amaze me how focused she can be while sweeping.

Puedo tomar muchas fotos y ella ni siquiera se inmuta... ¡Es casi como si yo fuera invisible!... Pero no deja de sorprenderme lo concentrada que puede estar mientras barre.

I have even taken pictures of her through the wire fence in her yard and she seems to still be doing the same thing there.... Sweeping without stopping!.... Hummm... I never see anyone else on that street when Grandma is there.... I'm beginning to think that maybe she's a ghost!... 👻😂

Inclusive le he hecho fotografías a través del alambrado de su patio y ella parece seguir haciendo lo mismo allí... ¡Barrer sin detenerse!... Hummm... Nunca veo a nadie más en esa calle cuando la abuela está allí... ¡Estoy comenzando a creer que quizás sea un fantasma!... 👻😂

"Carlos drinking a coffee"... My friend Carlos I think you may have already seen him in other of my publications... But I wanted to share this photo of a December morning, when I found him drinking coffee at the door of a neighboring house (Here it is quite common that you pass by on the street, say hello and then they give you a hot coffee!) A charming custom indeed... 😂☕♥

"Carlos bebiendo un café"... A mi amigo Carlos creo que quizás ya le han visto en otras de mis publicaciones... Pero quise compartir esta foto de una mañana dicembrina, cuando lo encontré tomando café en la puerta de una casa vecina (¡Aquí es bastante común que uno pase por la calle, salude y entonces te regalen un café caliente!)... Una encantadora costumbre por cierto... 😂☕♥

"Unexpected art"... "Yesterday that wasn't there"..... My neighbor answered me when I asked her about this curious demonstration of "street art" on the outside wall of her house... Someone wanted to express themselves artistically during the night apparently!... 🎨😂...

"Arte inesperado"... "Ayer no estaba eso allí"... Me contestó mi vecina cuando le pregunté por esta curiosa demostración de "arte callejero" en la pared exterior de su casa... ¡Alguien quiso expresarse artísticamente durante la noche al parecer!... 🎨😂

"Brothers"... Three brothers play happily using a wheelbarrow as a vehicle to carry the youngest... This was a tricky photo, as it was midday and the boys were under huge trees where the neighbors improvised a sort of 'track' for the boys to race their bikes.... But definitely, the human-powered wheelbarrow is not out of the question!... 😂

"Hermanos"... Tres hermanos juegan alegremente usando una carretilla como vehículo para llevar al más pequeño... Esta fue una foto complicada, pues era mediodía y los chicos estaban bajo enormes arboles en donde los vecinos improvisaron una especie de "pista" para que los chicos corran en sus bicicletas... ¡Pero definitivamente, las carretilla a tracción humana no está descartada!... 😂

"José Mejías"... In the middle of the morning, one day last December, I was sitting on a bench in the town's central square reviewing the photos in my camera, when suddenly this rather corpulent man approached me and without greeting me said: "Take my picture"... Wow, I almost fainted with fright!.... But anyway, still sitting down I shot this portrait... Then he just said: "My name is José Mejías" and left... What a strange man!... Later I found out that he only comes to town a few days a year to visit some relatives he has here, but in reality he lives far away, towards the central plains of the country... What a strange thing!... 😒

"José Mejías"... A media mañana, un día de Diciembre pasado, me encontraba yo sentado en una banca en la plaza central del pueblo revisando las fotos en mi cámara, cuando de repente se me acercó este hombre bastante corpulento y sin saludar me dijo: "Tómame una foto"... ¡Caray, casi me desmayo del susto!... Pero igual, aún estando sentado le disparé este retrato... Entonces solo dijo: "Mi nombre es José Mejías" y se fue... ¡Vaya un señor extraño!... Después averigüé que solo viene al pueblo unos pocos días al año para visitar a algunos familiares que tiene aquí, pero en realidad vive lejos, hacia los llanos centrales del país... ¡Vaya cosa extraña!... 😒
