The shapes in the clouds

Traveling with my dad was always fun, as we mostly went to places that were far away. This is mostly how I got to visit my northern states in Nigeria. And today, I have loved traveling and, especially, doing the driving.

During one of those moments of our travels, I stared intently at the clouds in the sky during the heat of the day. I was amazed at the different shapes of the clouds, and sometimes the clouds looked like humans. It was exciting for me to look at the clouds as I tried to draw out various shapes. Some looked so real, I almost assumed a kingdom existed in the clouds.

One of those times we traveled, and as a kid, I asked my dad who the people in the clouds were. He chuckled and patted me on the head as he equally observed what I pointed out to him.

“You see those shapes there?" "They are our ancestors up in the sky keeping an eye on us, and one day, we all would join them.” My dad said

I looked at him with beaming smiles, believing his story. “Perhaps I was safer with my ancestors looking out for me,” I thought to myself.

I still admire the shapes of the clouds with the comfort that I am never alone.

What a great answer your dad gave. Cherish it since it is a safe idea to have someone watching over and waiting for you.

Thank you for your entry. 👍
