You are viewing a single comment's thread:

As a Mets fan I'm obviously nowhere near a Yankees fan and the Mets have notable pitching injuries already themselves and the regular season hasn't even started, but I'm sure Yankee fans along with the many injuries to their pitchers the team has already - this news can't be the best news:

"New York Yankees starter Gerrit Cole will undergo diagnostic testing on his right elbow, according to a league source."

You heard it here first: No World Series parade down the Canyon of Heroes in lower Manhattan this year. Use that time to cheer your Dallas Cowboys (or to shoot at your TV set after they lose). Even better: cheer for the New York Knicks.

I believe both teams will be entertaining as hell offensively but pitching will be both team’s downfall unless they make a midseason blockbuster trade that will make them more competitive in that aspect but the Mets in our division alone with the Braves and Phillies having better pitching will be tough to get past them in the NL East and I would argue Tampa and Boston have better rotations than the Yankees.
