Sunday Morning! | Coffee, Cats, Construct

Sunday is the best!

Happy weekend! Every Sunday, I try to highlight some interesting stuff in my day. These are the things that people might learn a thing or two. Thank God that it was sunny this morning and I was able to go outside to enjoy the warmth. It was raining the past few days and was expecting it to rain today, but it did not. :)

So, here are the highlights of my Sunday Morning!

Moka not mocha!

One of my sister's likes is making coffee. She was inspired by watching vlogs of coffee shops on YouTube. I really want her to push her dream to have a coffee shop someday. She is getting better at her craft.

I am not really a fan of coffee and I know I said this on blogs over and over. It is not really for me that is why I prefer tea or juice.

She got this equipment to make a good coffee.

First I was confused why it is called Moka pot What? A mocha pot? How come a little pot like this is called mocha? Then my sister burst out laughing. She said, "Moka, with a K!". I too then started laughing myself out. So that is how it is spelled. I learned something today.

There are three parts of the Moka pot

  1. Boiler (right) - a small amount of water is poured and then later on heated.
  2. Central Basket (left) - The coffee ground is put.
  3. Upper chamber (middle) - It is where the coffee will be collected.

Bonding with the cats!

IMG_20220821_195340.jpg

Currently, we have three cats. They are still kittens. Sadly their mom passed away last February. I just noticed that they have different colors! Black, yellow, and gray. The gray one looks like exactly her mom. Cats for me are very beautiful creatures. They are very sweet and gentle.

Ugh, it is very hard to take a picture without them moving around. These are the best photos that I can get out of them.

Building a lamp!

I got this lamp like five days ago but it was just this morning that I got the time to construct this lamp.

The reason why I bought this kind of lamp is that I was inspired by those Japanese lanterns. It feels very aesthetic and relaxing when you look at them. Also, I really like Japanese design. It is very minimal and zen.

If you want to check out the product, click here!

The package comes with the lamp shade, power supply, and bulb. The lampshade is just thick paper, which I expected too because it was written in the description.

To construct the lamp is a no-brainer at all.

This is what it looks like when it is turned on.

Conclusion:

My Sunday morning is more on the things I really like to do away from work. Also, it is the time I can do fixing and cleaning. I also learned something about coffee today. Should I start liking coffee? Hmm, maybe. :)

The lamp also made me happy. Sometimes small things like this can brighten up our day. No pun intended for that.

I do hope that you had a beautiful Sunday morning too!

That is it for this article. I will see you at the next one!
