Opus | Exploration Beyond the Stars! ✨

Hello, Gamers! 🎮

These days I forgot that I have a Steam account. 😆 Did you catch the Spring Sale? Did you buy games on your wishlist?

I as broke will never buy a game beyond $5! Haha! Game is not a priority, but playing in peace is nice, just like having your universe, right?

Speaking of the universe, I downloaded a game called Opus. It has been sitting in my library for months now. @demotry gifted me this last year but I did not have the time to look at it.

Beforehand, I did not look for the game's background or review. I wanted to see it in raw form with no expectations and no idea of what was in store.

The game started with sentimental background music. It is in a future setting where the main character is in his senior era.

The old Jun is reminiscing how the place was used to be.

As the clan master, he can't help but to think about what had he accomplished for the people.

He keeps mentioning "her" but I had no idea who was "her" at this point.

The sentimental music continues as Jun walks toward an ancient-inscribed vault. The navigation keys are easy to remember.

The walking was too slow for me, or maybe it was just the character. Hahaha. You can't make an aged person dash. Great story so far, as well as the art! Language and subtitles can be changed.

As for me, I chose Japanese language and English subs, but sometimes the subs do not match with the language itself. Been watching anime since I was a kid so, I know a bit of Japanese, hehe.

Oh, okay. Her name is Eda. I am assuming this is his late wife or someone special to him...

Lumen wars 20 years ago. It made chaos but the United Mining stopped it. Later on, they made Lumen publicly.

It is a "stone" that is valuable and can be used as a resource for powering engines (That was what I understood).

People began rioting due to finding the lumens because lumen can make you rich.

The young Jun is such a cutiiiee 🥰 I can see some Gundam-ish concept here, hehe. Though not a fan of mecha or robot, I think with outer space concept is fine with me. Reminds me of Star Wars, don't you think?

Sheeesh! That pretty girl is Eda! This was the start of their mutual feelings. 🥰 They look good together. 😍

Dialogues are not that long enough to bore me. Straight forward and funny! 😁 I dislike chatty dialogues with the same thought. I felt like it was a rip-off haha!

Different locations are available to choose from. From the Bazaar, I went to Lumen Association which the trader told me so to do.

These are the parts that Lumen will be useful. Each Lumen will expel a charge for the gears to turn. Easy to spot the knobs and gears, I try to walk-through on everything. Again, the walking pace is slow for me.

While Kay and Jun were investigating a cave full of Lumen, they heard someone across. It was the pirates and a held hostage Eda. Eda offered them to become their "witch", someone who could locate the Lumens, in exchange for letting her hostage free.

Kay, Jun's bodyguard, jumped off the scene. Gun fire~ I won't tell you what happened next, hehe. 😁

Overall, I enjoyed the story of the game. I like the art style and flow. The game tries to incorporate empathy along the way but I think I did not get the message yet, hehe. I am waiting for something cry-able. 😆 Let's see!
