Bitácora Gran Sabana - Conociendo y llevando esperanza (Esp-Eng)
¡Hola amigos lectores! Un placer poder saludarles por esta viajera comunidad, es mi primera vez por aquí y espero poder aportar un poco de descubrimiento de lo que es mi país Venezuela.
Los viajes siempre han sido apasionantes para mí, la alegría de conocer nuevos lugares es demasiado emocionante, cada vez que realizo un viaje, trato de recaudar la mayor cantidad de información del sitio, desde datos históricos, curiosidades, leyendas (y estas tierras tienen muchas) además de llevar un gran registro fotográfico de todo lo que se me atraviese, y pueda aportar valor a mi vida.
Este es uno de los viajes que más me ha tocado mi corazón y en los cuales me he sentido un transmisor importante de esperanza para otros, les contaré todo lo vivido durante esta maravillosa experiencia en la Gran Sabana – Venezuela.
Hello fellow readers! It's a pleasure to be able to greet you in this traveling community, it's my first time here and I hope to be able to contribute a little bit of discovery of my country Venezuela.
Travel has always been exciting for me, the joy of knowing new places is too exciting, every time I make a trip, I try to collect as much information from the site, from historical data, curiosities, legends (and these lands have many) in addition to carrying a great photographic record of everything that comes my way, and can add value to my life.
This is one of the trips that has touched my heart the most and in which I have felt an important transmitter of hope for others, I will tell you everything I lived during this wonderful experience in the Gran Sabana - Venezuela.

Nos reunimos un grupo de personas para hacer posible este viaje, todo con el fin de ayudar a los más necesitados de las etnias indígenas de la región, teníamos en la ciudad de Santa Elena de Uairén un chico el cual nos servía de puente y conexión para explorar las zonas más vulnerables y así hacer el debido censo de la comunidad, esta persona se encargó de realizar todo esto, nosotros por nuestra parte decidimos “adoptar a un niño”.
Y es que ese era el lema del viaje y de la actividad “Adopta un niño” a través de esa adopción debíamos armar una maleta con todos los recursos que ese niño o niña iba a necesitar durante una temporada, desde productos de higiene personal, ropa, juguetes, útiles escolares, comida, en fin todo lo que pudiéramos enviar para el bienestar de ese niño adoptado.
Gledys y yo estuvimos adoptando dos niñas por dos años consecutivos, en ese entonces no estábamos casados, éramos novios, pero aja, nos comprometimos con dos niñas, y logramos armar nuestras maletas y enviarlas, en esta ocasión logramos acompañar a todo el equipo voluntario que se animó a ir, pero lastimosamente en aquel entonces no se nos permitió la entrada a la aldea, así que simplemente dejamos todos los insumos, y nos regresamos con todo el personal médico y la logística que se había preparado, pero no fue perdida (nos sentimos tristes) pero no nos detuvimos, nos fuimos a otra aldea y pudimos brindar el apoyo, pero a nuestros niños adoptados no pudimos conocerlos en ese entonces.
We gathered a group of people to make this trip possible, all in order to help the most needy of the indigenous ethnic groups in the region, we had in the city of Santa Elena de Uairén a guy who served as a bridge and connection to explore the most vulnerable areas and thus make the proper census of the community, this person was responsible for doing all this, we for our part decided to
"adopt a child".And that was the motto of the trip and the activity "Adopt a child" through this adoption we had to assemble a suitcase with all the resources that the child would need for a season, from personal hygiene products, clothes, toys, school supplies, food, in short everything we could send for the welfare of the adopted child.
Gledys and I were adopting two girls for two consecutive years, at that time we were not married, we were boyfriend and girlfriend, but aha, we got engaged with two girls, and we managed to pack our bags and send them, this time we managed to accompany the entire volunteer team that was encouraged to go, but unfortunately at that time we were not allowed to enter the village, so we simply left all the supplies, and we returned with all the medical staff and logistics that had been prepared, but it was not lost
(we felt sad) but we did not stop, we went to another village and we were able to provide support, but we could not meet our adopted children at that time.

Ya en el segundo viaje pudimos lograr el objetivo, el capitán de la aldea llamada “Sampay” autorizo la entrada, cabe destacar que es un sitio realmente húmedo, y frío, lleno de mucha vegetación, pero pudimos desbordar ese lugar de amor y esperanza, pudimos conocer a nuestras niñas y entregarles todo lo que con amor habíamos recaudado para ellas, ya conocíamos sus historias y lo cruel que había sido su existir y lo duro que era la vida de su mamá, son historias realmente duras de abuso, explotación y torturas, lo importante es que pudimos ser ese punto de esperanza para ellos, allí acampamos 3 días, ofrecimos comida, juegos, enseñanzas de escritura, los médicos estaban atendiéndolos y nosotros aprendiendo de su cultura, lenguaje y sus historias.
Already on the second trip we were able to achieve the goal, the captain of the village called "Sampay" authorized the entrance, it should be noted that it is a really wet and cold place, full of vegetation, but we were able to overflow that place of love and hope, we could meet our girls and give them everything we had collected for them with love, We already knew their stories and how cruel their existence had been and how hard their mother's life was, they are really hard stories of abuse, exploitation and torture, the important thing is that we could be that point of hope for them, we camped there for 3 days, we offered food, games, writing lessons, the doctors were attending them and we were learning about their culture, language and their stories.
Durante el recorrido tuve oportunidad de capturar unas imágenes muy lindas que son solo una muestra de las bellezas que podemos observar en mi país Venezuela, son ideales para unas postales.
During the tour I had the opportunity to capture some very nice images that are just a sample of the beauties that we can see in my country Venezuela, they are ideal for postcards.
Estas imágenes fueron capturadas antes de llegar a nuestro lugar de estadía, es un pequeño parque en el cual hacemos parada para descansar del largo viaje, comer, estirar las piernas y conocer estas lindas corrientes de agua que son solo un abreboca para las bellezas que nos esperaban.
These images were captured before arriving at our place of stay, it is a small park where we stop to rest from the long trip, eat, stretch our legs and get to know these beautiful streams that are just an appetizer for the beauties that awaited us.
Esta quebrada es genial, se llama “Pacheco” eso si el agua es muy fría en todas las cascadas realmente jajaja, pero deliciosa para darse una zambullida, allí pudimos tomarnos un tiempo de esparcimiento, y nos lanzamos de los picos de las cascadas, demasiada adrenalina para mis gustos jajaja una de las ventajas de esta quebrada es que es bastante accesible porque se encuentra casi cerca de la carretera, pudimos estacionarnos sin ningún contratiempo.
Este fue uno de los muchos viajes que he realizado en estas comunidades, compartiendo y también aprendiendo de ellos y su cultura, más adelante espero poder compartirles otra comunidad que conocí, llena de mucha historia, sentimiento e imágenes hermosas e impactantes de la naturaleza predominante en estas zonas.
This creek is great, it is called "Pacheco " that if the water is very cold in all the waterfalls really hahaha, but delicious to take a dive, there we could take some time to relax, and we jumped from the peaks of the waterfalls, too much adrenaline for my tastes hahaha one of the advantages of this creek is that it is quite accessible because it is almost near the road, we could park without any mishap.
This was one of the many trips I have made in these communities, sharing and also learning from them and their culture, later I hope to share with you another community I met, full of history, feeling and beautiful and shocking images of the predominant nature in these areas.

Que hermoso lugar, de verdad que esas fotos de las montañas me recuerdan a Escocia, y honestamente creo que no tiene nada que envidiarle. Nuestros paisajes y culturas son hermosos y mucho más esa labor de "adoptar niños" Me alegra que hayan disfrutado su experiencia.
Una experiencia inolvidable, y nuestros paisajes son únicos, nada que enviadiarle a otros países. 😉
