I have been seeing a few posts talking about rentals and I remember this post from 9 days ago. It does look like rentals are still quite profitable but I wonder if you can just settle for random common cards/gold foil commons in the case you can win with your current collection.

They are profitable and i have a lot of cards rented out since the new markets opened up this year.
It is part of what is driving up the prices as new players are renting from big collectors. They are getting extra DEC and buying even more cards to rent out and build a bigger collection.

It's good for the new players too though as they can get up to a decent level for very little cost and win some good prizes. It would cost a lot to buy a good deck but very cheap to rent one.
