Fantasy Lodge in Samboan, Cebu

Looking for a place that offers exclusivity, a place where you can relax and chill from the stress of city life? Then head-on to Fantasy Lodge in Samboan, it’s in the southern part of Cebu.

This resort is used to be a French-owned private vacation house turned into an exquisite and tranquil hideaway perfect for a relaxing escape.

What I like about Fantasy Lodge is that they’re an eco-friendly resort, I remember the last time we visited this place, they provided us with water bottles for a refill because the resort is discouraging guests from using plastic bottles.

The place has 11 air-conditioned rooms; they don’t have TV (well I don’t need one) but they do have Wi-Fi (which I think is a must!). The room is big and I love the capiz shell sliding window it makes the aesthetic traditional. They have a pool that is 5ft – 9ft deep so if you have kids with you I suggest bringing floaters and being extra careful when swimming. However, if you’re like me who loves water but doesn’t know how to swim then no worries they have a beach where you have to go down a number of steps, enjoy the clear waters without fear of drowning and just by sitting in the sand watching the sunset is already a perfect relaxation for me.

The resort also has a lot of Instagram-worthy spots which by the way my husband took most of my photos. 😉

Getting there by Bus
If coming from Cebu City, then go to South Bus Terminal and take a bus Bato via Barili which would take around 4 hrs. The fare is around Php 180 for non-aircon and Php 220 for aircon buses. Then drop off will be at Lilo-an port so you have the option to take a tricycle going to Fantasy Lodge or ride a Habal-habal but I think it’s more convenient to take the first especially if you have some things with you. The fare is around Php 100-150 it depends on how you haggle with the driver.

Oh, I got the chance to try their Kawa (huge pan) bath, at first it’s kinda weird being soaked in a huge pan but I was impressed that they added local fresh flowers and herbs into the water, and if I could remember they also put essential oils on it that makes it even more inviting because it really looks nice and smells good.
