A Perfect Day: Catching Up with Friends and Planning Future Staycations

We had been planning this for quite some time because we wanted to attend the Cebu Travel Catalogue International, where different resorts and travel agencies gather in one place to offer discounted rates. It's the perfect opportunity to book hotels or resorts for next year’s staycations. Usually, the vouchers expire the following year, so once we have a resort in mind, we immediately grab it because it’s significantly cheaper compared to their regular rates.
We took a stroll around the various booths, discussing our options before making any decisions. Eventually, we settled in to enjoy a happy hour at TGI Fridays, sipping on unlimited mojitos to kickstart our afternoon of catching up and planning. With our thirst quenched and spirits lifted, conversation flowed effortlessly. When we finally agreed on which bookings to make, we promptly asked our husbands to hand over their credit cards (after all, a happy wife means a happy life 😉). In total, we booked three resorts: El Mar Resort in Sogod, Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa in Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, and Bellevue Resort in Bohol. I'll definitely be writing a blog about all of these staycations.
After securing all the vouchers, our husbands were feeling pretty hungry, so we decided to treat them to a sumptuous dinner at Lemon Grass restaurant, known for its fusion of Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. We let them choose the dishes they wanted to try, and they did not disappoint. From their famous Tom Yum soup to their Binagoongan rice, everything was delicious.
As the night drew to a close and we reluctantly said our goodbyes, I couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these. I'm excited for our upcoming staycations, and I know that in a world that often feels chaotic and uncertain, there is solace to be found in the company of true friends. I'm filled with gratitude for the moments of joy and camaraderie that we shared. Here's to friendship, to endless adventures, and to the promise of many more unforgettable evenings together. Cheers!
