Dentro de las diversas experiencias que se están compartiendo estos días sobre la navidad vivida entre familias y amigos quiero también hablarles un poco sobre mi experiencia particular, la cual como indico en el título de este post tienen el carácter de ser una doble celebración, ya que el mismo 24 de diciembre es mi cumpleaños, es como si ya desde la eternidad se hubiese escrito los dos centros que ocuparían para mí este día tan especial, por el hecho de que dentro de mis oficios sacerdotales las celebraciones eclesiales de este día son de particular importancia, enfocadas en compartir y ayudar a rescatar el verdadero sentido de estas fiestas, que están más en lo espiritual y la vivencia interior de las mismas. Comencemos nuestra reflexión con la base de todo, lo humano y mi particular celebración de la vida en el día de navidad:

Cumpleaños sentido

Fue muy grato para mí el poder sentir este día el particular afecto de las personas, el cual se demostró entre diversas muestras de cariño con 7 ricas tortas que me regalaron, pues desde muy temprano luego de la misa de aguinaldos ya me estaban esperando con dos tortas en diversas casas que visitamos llevando los cantos propios de esta época festiva. Luego en el transcurso del día me llevaron a la casa dos tortas más de parte de personas particulares, de la misma manera en la misa de noche buena, me esperaban otras dos tortas y, finalmente, junto a mi familia donde compartimos la cena navideña, había una más, para completar el número bíblico que indica perfección como lo es el 7.

Creo que ya por aquí podrán intuir cuál será uno de los propósitos de año nuevo, si no esperen esa publicación, ja, ja, ja. Lo cierto es que más allá del número de tortas está lo que las mismas manifiestan y es el aprecio de otros, precisamente para mí esto es una de las cosas que resaltan en esta época del año, tener la oportunidad de dar y recibir algún tipo de presente, ya que en ambos casos uno siente lo maravillo no solo de vivir, sino de convivir, es decir, de compartir la vida con personas maravillosas.

Para mí cumplir en este día, no es como la fecha puede insinuar, y es que la celebración pasa por debajo de la mesa, al contrario, tengo la oportunidad de compartir la alegría de un año más de existencia desde tempranas horas del día, así como dar gracias a Dios y en sus manos ponerme para las nuevas experiencias que me aguarden.

Compartir familiar

Entre las personas que tenemos para compartir la vida, además de los amigos, están esos seres a los cuales nos unen unos lazos especiales y que siempre han estado al lado nuestro desde que este mundo nos vio nacer. Son nuestros familiares. Pues bien, ya llevo varios años donde tengo la oportunidad de compartir no solo mi cumpleaños sino este día de celebración navideña con ellos.

En esta ocasión pasamos la noche buena en un club de la ciudad, puesto que una tía se encuentra actualmente administrándolo y, pues, se aprovechó para este año organizarnos para disfrutar la noche-madrugada día siguiente allí, ja ja ja, ya que la verdad es que mi familia es muy de fiestas y con gran aguante para entre conversar, bailar, hacer karaoke, comer, pasar las horas casi sin darnos cuenta. Por eso, puedo decirle que fue una celebración de cumpleaños-navidad que tuvieron y se vivieron a lo máximo.

Respecto al tema de la familia les comparto una de las frases que decíamos en noche buena y es “familia, donde el amor es infinito”, pues la verdad es que lo que se siente junto a estas personas tan geniales es precisamente que no hay límite del amor que allí sé prolija, lo cual además es fundamental para la vida toda de cualquier ser humano, porque a todos luego nos toca irnos insertando en diferentes comunidades donde la fortaleza de lo que llevemos cultivado desde el amor de familia es siempre un factor a resaltar y diferencial.

Reflexión especial para esta navidad

Además de las experiencias que les he compartido, también quiero hacer referencia a una reflexión que de manera particular en esta navidad se me hizo muy presente, y que siento no solo me tocó a mí, sino que tuve la oportunidad de compartir este año por un canal regional de televisión, y es que el color de la navidad puede ser distinto para cada uno, ya que todos pasamos por situaciones diferentes, lo que hace que las navidades no sean igual de alegres para todos. No obstante, el mensaje para todos es el mismo y es que podemos seguir adelante a pesar de las circunstancias porque está en nosotros el poder darle a nuestras vidas ese impulso que necesita o esa renovación que reclama.

En noche buena, de hecho, nos deseamos una feliz navidad, igual que en estos días posteriores, pero ¿dónde radica esta felicidad?, ¿Podemos encontrar la felicidad en medio de la tristeza, la angustia y los sufrimientos de la vida? He aquí dónde debemos volver al significado profundo de la navidad, y considerar seriamente dónde estamos buscando esa felicidad y paz que anhela nuestra vida. Pues, la verdad es que la misma no está fuera de nosotros, sino dentro, con nosotros, en el interior de nuestro ser, he allí donde es importante la espiritualidad en nuestras vidas, ya que nos ayuda a descubrir el valor que la misma en sí tiene, más allá de las circunstancias que estemos pasando.

Y es aquí donde la familia y los amigos nos pueden ayudar de manera fundamental, porque estos nos valoran no por lo que tenemos sino por lo que somos, y de esta manera nos acompañan en el gozo de sentirnos amados y descubrirnos capaces de dar amor también a los demás, y ¿Qué sentido más sublime que el amor podemos darle a nuestra existencia? Un amor que comienza y siempre tendrá sus cimientos en el hogar.

Within the various experiences that are being shared these days about Christmas lived among families and friends, I would also like to talk a little about my particular experience, which as I indicate in the title of this post has the character of being a double celebration, since December 24 is my birthday, It is as if the two centers that would occupy for me this special day had already been written from eternity, due to the fact that within my priestly offices the ecclesial celebrations of this day are of particular importance, focused on sharing and helping to rescue the true meaning of these feasts, which are more in the spiritual and the inner experience of the same. Let us begin our reflection with the basis of everything, the human and my particular celebration of life on Christmas Day:

Birthday felt

It was very pleasant for me to be able to feel this day the particular affection of the people, which was demonstrated among various tokens of affection with 7 delicious cakes that they gave me, because from very early after the aguinaldos mass they were already waiting for me with two cakes in various houses that we visited carrying the songs typical of this festive season. Then during the course of the day two more cakes were brought to my house from private persons, in the same way at the Christmas Eve mass, two more cakes were waiting for me and finally, with my family where we shared Christmas dinner, there was one more, to complete the biblical number that indicates perfection as it is the 7.

I think you can already guess what one of my New Year's resolutions will be, if not wait for that publication, ha, ha, ha, ha. The truth is that beyond the number of cakes is what they manifest and is the appreciation of others, precisely for me this is one of the things that stand out at this time of year, having the opportunity to give and receive some kind of present, since in both cases one feels the wonder not only to live, but to live together, that is, to share life with wonderful people.

For me to celebrate on this day, it is not as the date may imply, and the celebration goes under the table, on the contrary, I have the opportunity to share the joy of another year of existence from early hours of the day, as well as to thank God and put myself in his hands for the new experiences that await me.

Family sharing

Among the people we have to share life with, besides our friends, are those beings with whom we have special bonds and who have always been by our side since we were born into this world. They are our relatives. Well, for several years now I have had the opportunity to share not only my birthday but also this day of Christmas celebration with them.

This time we spent Christmas Eve in a club in the city, since an aunt is currently managing it and, well, this year we took the opportunity to organize us to enjoy the night-morning the next day there, ha ha ha, since the truth is that my family is very party-oriented and with great stamina to talk, dance, do karaoke, eat, spend the hours almost without realizing it. Therefore, I can tell you that it was a birthday-Christmas celebration that they had and lived to the fullest.

Regarding the theme of family, I share with you one of the phrases that we used to say on Christmas Eve and it is "family, where love is infinite", because the truth is that what you feel with these great people is precisely that there is no limit to the love that there is, which is also fundamental for the whole life of any human being, because we all have to be inserted in different communities where the strength of what we have cultivated from the love of family is always a factor to highlight and differential.

Special reflection for this Christmas

In addition to the experiences that I have shared with you, I also want to refer to a reflection that in a particular way this Christmas was very present to me, and that I feel not only touched me, but that I had the opportunity to share this year on a regional television channel, and that is that the color of Christmas may be different for each one, since we all go through different situations, which makes Christmas not equally joyful for everyone. However, the message for everyone is the same and it is that we can move forward despite the circumstances because it is up to us to give our lives the boost it needs or the renewal it demands.

On Christmas Eve, in fact, we wish each other a Merry Christmas, just as in the days that follow, but where does this happiness lie, can we find happiness in the midst of the sadness, anguish and sufferings of life? This is where we must return to the deeper meaning of Christmas, and seriously consider where we are looking for the happiness and peace that our life longs for. Well, the truth is that it is not outside of us, but inside, with us, in the interior of our being, that is where spirituality is important in our lives, since it helps us to discover the value that it has in itself, beyond the circumstances that we are going through.

And it is here where family and friends can help us in a fundamental way, because they value us not for what we have but for what we are, and in this way they accompany us in the joy of feeling loved and discovering ourselves capable of giving love also to others, and what more sublime meaning than love can we give to our existence? A love that begins and will always have its foundations at home.
