Faith, Fellowship & a Giant Swamp Taro 🙏

Hey guys, it took me for how many days to get back here, our Methods of Research requirements had began and also we have an upcoming midterm exam with the Statistics subject so kinda busy yet I would like to share this one of my treasured moments in my life.

Tonight I would like to share snaps during our prayer meeting last Friday night. This prayer meeting is one of our church activity wherein it is scheduled in rotation with all the church members and it's house to house, so we we're in the house of my cousin.

Here we have snacks time, but in our program we starts our prayer meeting with opening song and after closing prayer and then one fast song and one slow song and then prayer of the songleader and then after we will listen to the word of God and after we will have our groups for counterclockwise rotation of paper so that everyone in the group can pray for everyone.

After the closing song, it's snack time. Thanks to the family. We have here pop corn and banana chips, the banana chips are crispy and taste good.

And this we called it here in our place "Pao" or "Palaw" but I did a research and it's name in English is "Giant Swamp Taro" it is also part of the root crop family and it is usually located nearby pond or any area that has water, because I remember my grandfather's house nearby has a fishpond and on the pond side there's this growing and I can guarantee you guys that you will love this, it taste good perfect for any beach outing.

and what I pair with "Palaw" is this salted fish surrounded by onions and it taste even better and so delicious.

After a long minute of having snacks they have orange juice that was very cold which is my favorite and yeah I had a cool night, it was a blast!

So the end of the night prayer meeting, what amazes me even more is that, it's been almost 3-5 years that I haven't tasted this "Palaw" again and to my surprise it was there during that night and I am so happy, we're grateful to the family and we are not just full of God's word but also full in our tummy and we had a happy hearts.
