A post to force me to write - My 5 minutes a day #82

Just do, don't think

Greetings everyone! Again, I'm sorry for not showing signs of activity today. The day was spent doing errands and learning, but now that I sit in from on my PC, a feeling of guilt invades me. I should be posting an article, not running from posting things.

That is the reason why today I want to do an article about procrastination. You see, whether you are super disciplined or not, at one time or another you will have encountered situations that serve as the perfect excuse not to get work done.

However, if this pattern is repeated too frequently, this can lead to a bad habit of procrastinating. The problem with this approach is that it is unforgiving over time, and those things that you would try to solve with action would only get bigger if you didn't do them.

This is why a sense of accountability can be an excellent place to start, the most difficult step of all. Whether it's having someone to say things to or an audience asking for your content, these can be great reasons to try.

In addition to this, there are other strategies such as tricking your brain, making it think that you will only do one activity for a small amount of time, and then surpass this once you warm up. This, combined with the use of rewards for completing something, are usually enough incentives to move me to action.

I know that this article is short and is not a replacement for my other posts, but I hope that it has been helpful to you, showing you my process to motivate myself to do things, inviting you to put all these methods into practice. Having said that.

Thank you for your support and good luck!
