A visit to a newly opened Mang Inasal at Polomolok

Mang Inasal is one of the biggest barbecue fast food restaurant chain in the Philippines. Mang Inasal is a Hiligaynon word for Mr. Barbeque.

Mang Inasal is very common to Pinoys (Filipinos) because they offered delicious, tender, juicy barbeque. Everyone could also enjoy eating without using spoon and fork. I mean eating with our bare hand.

People of Polomolok were so happy knowing that Mang Inasal is now in town. At last Mang Inasal Polomolok opened last March 26, 2023.

Many went and experienced Mang Inasal on their first day, second day and even until now. I saw our friends, neighbors being their with their family and they look satisfied.

One day, my husband went home with some coins in his hands (it is his income with his side hustle using tricycle). Without thinking he said, this is good enough that we could visit Mang Inasal.

Our son already heard about Mang Inasal from his friends and classmates who were already there. He had an idea that there are delicious food there.

We don't know that his father's words stayed in his mind. One afternoon while we were walking our son directly said, Papa, are we going to Itsanal? I and my husband looked at each other wondering what our son is talking about. We asked him many times but he keep on telling itsanal. When we got home we asked him again and he said that it is his father's promised to go to itsanal. I asked him what is in itsanal? He then said, rice, vegetables, it's delicious. Then we realized he meant Mang Inasal. He was so happy when we got it.

My husband told us to prepare because we were going to Mang Inasal. Out son is so excited.

We get in and proceed to the counter to order some food. We were supposed to order one solo regular, two PM1 with unlimited rice and Halo-halo but solo regular is not available.

So we just ordered:
2 PM1 with unlimited rice (161x2=322)
1 medium halo-halo (69)
We paid 391.00 ($7.8) in total.

We find available seat while bringing our number. We then sit and wait for our food to arrive but we noticed that beside the counter, the numbers are being called. It also appear on the screen above that they are serving what number.

The staff are looking around because no one went there until we realized that they are calling our number. My husband went there and get our order.

It is just a few minutes and we didn't wait so long.

We thank God for these blessings and we enjoy our dinner.

We thought that people at Mang Inasal are only few because we visit there when most of our Christian (Catholic) friends are having fasting and not eating meat that day of holy week. But we were wrong, the people are still many.

I like the table and chairs it is just simple but looks neat and clean. The ceeling were full of lights and i find it simple too.

Since we ordered a set with unlimited rice, we then asked for additional rice from the staff who is just beside our table eating for the customers to call him.

When we are about to finish I took a picture with my son whose wish is granted.

When we were done, we proceed to their handwashing area and go out.

Before we went home, we took some pictures first outside. It was our first time to Mang Inasal. I know it will take months and even a year before we could go back there again.

It was a great experience and our son is so happy that at last he also has a story to tell, a moment to remember about Mang Inasal which he mistakenly pronounced as Itsanal.

This is also my participation for the #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle.

I think it's the pork that they would not eat during that day. That was why a lot of people were there.

Thier unlirice is the best 😁.

I love eating with hands and I've been doing it in Laos whereas in Thailand, the food were so much different, it's not hands friendly 😂. Is that place everywhere in the Philippine? I'll remember to eat at that place if I am going there.

Eating with hands is something that bring satisfaction to us, eating in our own way.

Yes there are lots of branches of Mang Inasal all throughout the Philippines. Before it have it branch here in our town, we could visit it in the city near to us. Glad we have now Mang Inasal here.

There's no strict rules in our municipality about wearing masks. Might be the admin or owner just required their employees to do so for hygiene because they were serving foods.

It looks like a nice place! The chairs and table are simple, but, nice to be able to push them under the table when finished. It is funny how kids have great memories and they will definitely hold you to your word! :) I think that is so cute that he knew exactly where he wanted to go.

The chicken looked delicious and yes! BBQ is to be eaten with your bare hands! I am not sure there is another way! :) I have to ask you, was the food and atmosphere everything you hoped they would be? Sometimes I expect more than what I get. Not that I am ungrateful, but, some of the food is not as good as eating at home! I have to admit though, it is nice to not have to cook once in a while.

I am sure your son was happy. Because he is so young, it is more about the experience than the food. He will remember that for a very long time to come! A nice family experience. Your husband is such a hard worker!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

1.Go to any type of market, or anywhere where you pay money for a service. It can be a museum, a movie theatre, or an auction. Be creative!
2.Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? We like to compare prices, otherwise, it is just pictures of a market!
3.Post the pictures! No out-of-focus ones, please! Tell a little bit about the pictures that you post. Having many pictures to scroll through does not make a better post without explanation.
4.Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated) If you don't, then #MarketFriday should be your first tag
5.Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.
6.#MarketFriday post should be submitted sometime on Friday UTC
7.The post MUST be in English
8.Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it

The food is good and we are satisfied with it. Yeah! Kids has a great memory, they could remember even your non sense jokes, lol. They could remember even a little promises so adults should guard our mouth.

Thanks for visiting my post.
