El día de hoy vengo a compartirles un post sobre una película que vi recientemente y que sencillamente me encantó jaja. Tuvo momentos súper divertidos, pero también esa vibra tan característica de su género que a mí siempre me ha fascinado. Fue una mezcla de todo un poco,me hizo analizar, reflexionar y hasta me sacó varios sentimientos. De verdad reúne muchísimas cosas que me encantan y de las cuales pude sacar material para compartirles mis impresiones personales. Espero que disfruten muchísimo de este post porque vamos a hablar de una película icónica: The Craft o en español Jóvenes brujas 🍿🎃

Hello, Film & TV Show friends! 👋✨ I'm super happy to be back in this wonderful community! Today I'm here to share a post about a movie I watched recently and simply loved. It had super fun moments, but also that distinct vibe of its genre that I've always adored. It was a mix of a bit of everything: it made me analyze, reflect, and even brought out a lot of emotions. It truly brings together so many things I love, giving me plenty to draw from to share my personal impressions with you. I hope you really enjoy this post because we're going to talk about an iconic movie The Craft! 🎃

Para ponernos en contexto, la trama gira en torno a Sarah, una chica que acaba de mudarse a un nuevo pueblo con su papá y su madrastra. Como cualquier adolescente en esa situación, le toca empezar de cero, adaptarse a un entorno completamente desconocido y hacer nuevos amigos en su nueva escuela. Allí conoce a diferentes personas, pero llama la atención de un trío muy particular, tres chicas que en el instituto tienen fama de ser "brujas" y a las que casi todos evitan. Lo interesante es que este grupo estaba esperando el cumplimiento de una profecía que anunciaba la llegada de una cuarta integrante. Al unirse Sarah, el grupo finalmente se completa, permitiéndoles canalizar un poder enorme, realizar hechizos y experimentar de lleno en el mundo de la hechicería.

To set the scene, the plot centers on Sarah, a girl who has just moved to a new town with her father and stepmother. Like any teenager in that situation, she has to start from scratch, adjust to a completely unfamiliar environment, and try to make friends at her new school. There she meets various people, but catches the eye of a very unique trio three girls rumored around school to be "witches" whom most people avoid. The fascinating part is that this group was waiting for a prophecy to come true one that foretold the arrival of a fourth member. Once Sarah joins them, their coven is complete, unlocking massive power that lets them perform spells and fully dive into the world of witchcraft.

Acabo de terminar de ver The Craft y, sinceramente, ¡me encantó jaja Tiene esa fórmula noventera tan clásica que a mí me fascina, con la dosis perfecta de diversión, misterio y ese toquecito de terror que la hace tan especial. Pero más allá de la hechicería, lo que realmente me atrapó es el trasfondo de estas chicas,cada una ha sido víctima de situaciones muy duras como violencia, acoso y rechazo. Por un lado está Nancy, la líder del grupo, quien vive en una situación familiar súper precaria y llena de caos; precisamente por esa falta de control sobre su vida, desarrolla una obsesión desmedida por el poder. Por otro lado tenemos a Bonnie, marcada por las secuelas de un accidente que le dejó quemaduras en la piel, haciéndola sentir muy insegura y sufrir constantes críticas. Para ellas, la magia no era solo un juego era su escudo y su forma desesperada de buscar control.

I just finished watching The Craft, and honestly, I loved it jaja It has that classic 90s formula that I absolutely adore, with the perfect blend of fun, mystery, and that touch of horror that makes it so unique 🧹✨. But beyond the witchcraft, what truly hooked me was the girls' background: every single one of them has been a victim of incredibly tough situations like violence, bullying, and rejection. On one hand, we have Nancy, the coven leader, who lives in a super precarious family environment filled with chaos; precisely due to that lack of control over her life, she develops an unhealthy obsession with power. On the other hand, there's Bonnie, scarred by burns from an accident, making her deeply insecure and target to endless criticism. For them, magic wasn't just a game—it was their armor and a desperate way to seek control.

Luego tenemos a Rochelle, una chica afrodescendiente que sufre el acoso constante de una compañera simplemente por prejuicios racistas, lo que le genera un dolor e inseguridad inmensas. Y finalmente está nuestra protagonista, Sarah, quien a pesar de tener un papá amoroso y una madrastra con la que se lleva bien, arrastra una culpa interna desgarradora siente que ella fue la causante de la muerte de su madre al nacer. Cada una carga con un dolor muy fuerte, pero ese mismo sufrimiento las llevó a buscar una salida por el camino equivocado. Como persona que cree muchísimo en las energías, sé que no existe luz sin oscuridad ni oscuridad sin luz; todo debe mantenerse en armonía y equilibrio . Jugar con fuerzas que no comprendes del todo tiene consecuencias graves, y alterar ese equilibrio hizo que todo se saliera de control.

Then we have Rochelle, a Black girl who suffers constant harassment from a classmate simply due to racist prejudices, causing her immense pain and insecurity. And finally, there's our main character, Sarah, who despite having a loving father and a stepmother she gets along with, carries a heartbreaking internal guilt: she feels she was responsible for her mother's death during childbirth. Every single one of them carries heavy pain, but that very suffering led them down the wrong path. As someone who strongly believes in energies, I know that light cannot exist without darkness, nor darkness without light; everything must remain in balance and harmony . Playing with forces you don't fully understand carries severe consequences, and disrupting that balance caused everything to spiral out of control.

Es muy claro cómo cada una comienza a utilizar estas fuerzas para vengarse de quienes las dañaron. Me encantó una escena clave en la que la dueña de la tienda de artículos esotéricos le advierte a Sarah una verdad fundamental. "Todo el mal que hagas se te devolverá multiplicado por tres" . En términos de energías, estamos hablando directamente del karma y la Ley de Tres. Es verdad que estas chicas sufrieron muchísimo y nada justifica los abusos que sufrieron, pero no supieron esperar a que el karma hiciera su trabajo de forma natural. Dominadas por el desespero y el rencor, quisieron tomar la justicia por sus propias manos, pero llevar la venganza a ese nivel provocó sufrimiento y consecuencias fatales. Ya cuando el daño está hecho, es imposible retroceder el tiempo; la vida es como un boomerang todo lo que lanzas al mundo, sea bueno o malo, regresa a ti.

It is so clear how each of them starts using these forces to get revenge on those who hurt them. I loved a key scene where the owner of the occult shop warns Sarah about a fundamental truth: "Whatever you send out comes back to you threefold" . In terms of energy, we are talking directly about karma and the Rule of Three. It's true that these girls suffered immensely and nothing justifies the abuse they endured, but they couldn't wait for karma to do its work naturally. Overwhelmed by desperation and resentment, they took justice into their own hands, but taking revenge to that level caused real suffering and fatal consequences. Once the damage is done, it's impossible to turn back time; life is like a boomerang: whatever you throw out into the world, whether good or bad, comes back to you.

Una de las escenas más fuertes y perturbadoras de la película es ver la transformación de Nancy. Tras la invocación del espíritu, su sed de poder y avaricia la cegaron por completo. Perdió la noción del bien y del mal, al punto de no importarle dañar a sus propias amigas. Fue como si un interruptor dentro de su mente se hubiese apagado; todo el dolor y la destrucción que causaba le parecían sencillamente divertidos . Por su parte, Sarah es la primera en chocar con la realidad tras haberle hecho un hechizo de atadura de "amor" a Chris, creyendo que era inofensivo para lograr que él la quisiera. Lo que empezó como un deseo inocente rápidamente se volvió una obsesión tóxica y peligrosa. Esta parte me dejó una lección gigante, jugar con el libre albedrío y las energías de otras personas siempre sale mal.

One of the strongest and most disturbing parts of the movie is watching Nancy's transformation. After invoking the spirit, her thirst for absolute power and greed blinded her completely. She lost all sense of right and wrong, to the point of not caring if she hurt her own friends. It was as if a switch inside her mind had flipped; all the pain and destruction she caused simply seemed fun to her . On the other hand, Sarah is the first to crash back into reality after performing a "love" binding spell on Chris, believing it was harmless to make him love her. What started as an innocent wish quickly turned into a toxic, dangerous obsession. This part left me with a massive lesson: playing with free will and other people's energies always ends badly.

Conforme avanza la película, vemos cómo cada una recibe su merecido y se enfrenta a las consecuencias directas de sus actos. Esto es algo que podemos trasladar perfectamente a la vida real toda acción, sea buena o mala, tiene su retorno. Si das un regalo o ayudas a alguien desde el bien, el universo te lo devolverá; pero si haces el mal, no puedes pretender que el cosmos ignore ese desequilibrio. En el universo todo es armónico y no puedes dar algo sin recibir algo a cambio . Aunque a simple vista The Craft parezca una película simple, para mí fue increíble poder analizarla a fondo y extraer una lección tan profunda. Me fascina cuando el cine se toma el tiempo de crear historias que te hacen pensar, cuestionar tus decisiones y ofrecerte herramientas para entender cómo estás manejando tu propia vida. Me encantaron los personajes, la historia y la vibra para ver en esta época de Halloween .

As the movie progresses, we see how each of them gets what they deserve and faces the direct consequences of their actions. This is something we can perfectly apply to real life: every action, whether good or bad, comes back to you. If you give a gift or help someone out of kindness, the universe will reward you; but if you cause harm, you cannot pretend the cosmos will ignore that imbalance. In the universe, everything is harmonious, and you cannot give something without receiving something in return . Although The Craft might seem like a simple movie at first glance, I found it incredible to analyze it deeply and extract such a profound lesson. I am fascinated when cinema takes the time to create stories that make you think, question your choices, and provide tools to understand how you are handling your own life. I loved the characters, the story, and the vibe to watch during this Halloween season.
