Hello everyone! Its been a long time since my last post here. A lot happened recently, it was just too overwhelm for me that I had lost time and take a moment to update some blogs. However, I'll do my best to catch up. I just hope everyone is doing great and happy.

For today's blog is the part 2 of my Colon Night Market Experience. I know that this is long overdue already, but I think its not too late. For those who haven't read the part 1 yet, you can read it here.

We visited Colon night market just few days after Sinulog. The grandest festival in the whole Philippines, from the Queen City of the South, Cebu City. This is the 458th Fiesta Señor celebration to our patron saint Snr. Sto. Niño de Cebu who was first introduced by Magellan to the Philippines, specifically to Raja Humabon in the Island of Cebu.

Since then, every 3rd Sunday of January, we held the festival as our honor to our saint. Part of the celebration is bringing night market bazaars in oldest street of the city, Colon Street.

On our first visit, I did not talk a lot about the various items the bazaar has but now let me show you what are these things they sell.

These are ukay-ukay jeans. The vendor has an Ukay-Ukay store so they sell mixed jeans here.

This isn't your typical branded shirts but hey they look so cool and has unique design.

I snap this photo while walking (sorry). These are Class A type of shoes, I think.

Yes they sell jewelries in the street but is not what you think it is. Their jewelries doesn't have that big value. Just accessories you can buy in cheap price.

Also they have Class A type of slippers in cheap price.

My apologies for blurry photos lol. But you see, they sell clothes, different types of clothings from top to jeans. They have shoes, slippers, jewelries and more. The bazaar also has henna tattoo artists waiting for those who wants temporary tattoos.

It was really fun watching all of the stores, one by one with unique stuff for sale. I am also surprise with the umbrellas hanging above, that was new this year. And by the way, this year's Sinulog is the come back of the festival after 2 years of being cancelled due to Covid so people were very hype and excited to experience Sinulog once again.

These stores were just among the booths I found but they have a lot of stalls up to the end of University of Visayas -- this is how long the bazaar is. Then after are the spot for different foods where we took our dinner in Part 1. I did buy some from the bazaar. We bought disposable mask and a hair clip for me. I am so tempted to buy a pair of shoes since I have no colored shoe that I can wear aside from white shoes but some are just above my budget so I pass, for now. 😅 Nevertheless, I really enjoyed our time there (me and my boyfriend), wandering around with my busy eyes happily roaming around each store it sees. But its sad to know that the night market is only until end of January, according to one of the vendors I asked before they go back to their regular spot where they originally sell their goods. Anyways they can only display during night time starting 6PM in the street but during daytime, they can be found on their respective stores.

After 2 long years, I finally got to see the Colon Market again. Not just me but the whole Cebuanos were very thankful that we are starting to live normal again. This is just one of the exciting activites you may expect which starts in holiday (early September) up to Sinulog (month of January).

This ends my Colon Night Market experience. Thank you for coming with me! See you on my next blog.
