Wednesdaywalk at school of autism

Alloha Wednesday walkers!

Everytime we go to school with my youngest son, I let him walk. I want him to explore the sorroundings especially at the street but I need to hold him tightly. As usual he always amazed everything, like butterflies, dogs, cars and a lot more. He keeps talking and talking lol.

We have a gloomy weather so it's good enough to have a short walk with my baby Collin. People really asking me if my son is "foreigner or what race is your kid?", something like that. Honestly speaking his purely Filipino. Collin really speaks English, he didn't know how to speak bisaya(our dialect). The people just matter the look of my son and his curly hair hahaha.

However upon reaching this area, Collin always telling me "JUNGLE". I really smiled and said it's not jungle huh. He thought it's jungle it's because of the trees. So funny right? The people really smiled with his reaction. So cute and adorable as what I'm heared with them.

Actually they don't have a proper school like a big school building. They just next to BIR office. As you can see in the photo it's PHIL POST, our Philippine Post Office in our place. Then next is the PNP-HPG, BIR and CSWD (Tawag Resource Center) the name of the school of baby Collin.

It's newly painted, they renovate the school for almost 1 month. We as a parents is very lucky to have this kind of school because it's free. Covered by the government. Some people also donating some stuffs for the kids like toys, books, school supplies and a lot more.

God bless to the people who always willing to share their blessings to the autism kids. They have a good heart to them. We as a parents make us cry. Cry for happiness that even our kids is autism they give a fully concerned to them.

(Hello it's mhe Collin👶)
(One of the basic therapy for him, putting him in a chair in this position)

I'm always advance with the schedule of baby Collin, because I need to calm him before I give him to his teacher Marife. He had 1 hour only so I want to be worth it. It's been so many days already that we don't need to hold his knees if his sitting in a chair, not like before. We need to teach him to behave while sitting in a chair. On his first time he really cried loudly, he argue with the teacher.

We don't have a therapist here in my place so we need to go to Davao City. It's very pricey for us. The teachers always remind us, the kids will learned if we're willing also to bring them in the school. I don't need to be choosy when it comes to my son, it's for his own good. It's one on one class for 1 hour. Not bad for a free schooling.

Meet Jeckhoy🤗...

The only kid that really loves Collin it's Jeckoy. A 5 year old autism kid also. After his class, next is baby Collin. When we arrived at the main door he really said "hello". Then baby Collin said "hi", how cute! The teachers really smiled. Few minutes later he said "bye bye Collin". Then baby Collin said "babayeeeee" sounds like babae(girl). My son is really funny hahaha.

(It's time to go home)

This part my heart is melting upon seeing this scene. Jeckoy really hugs baby Collin before he go home. He really treat his own brother that felt me happy. Jeckhoy is the only son of his parents and we all know that only kid is quite boring also. They don't have playmate at home and of course a sibling to be there for better or for worse.

(He had an activity again)

IMG20230822100206.jpg
(Before we go home baby Collin will bless to all the teachers at school, they really trained the kids in that behavior)

After Jeckoy leaves, me also will go outside so that they can focused with his teacher. I'll be back for 1 hour. I'm glad that they had an activity because sometimes if Collin had a tantrums he cannot perform his activity.

Teacher will be sending some photos and videos with them. She also telling me how Collin improves and that is good news for me. I know it's not easy but I'm trying my very best to baby Collin. More patience is needed if you had an autism kid. Just accept it with full of love and nothing is impossible. God is good to all of us, just don't lose hope and have a trust/faith on him.

That's all for todays blog and this is my entry to #Wednesdaywalk at school of autism hosted by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng. Thank you so much and God bless.

Hello my friend @jlufer. I'm good and good morning here in the Philippines. It's my obligation to bring my kid to the school especially in his situation. Kudos to the generous people in my place for helping the kids at school. Thanks for visiting my friend and god bless.

Bless him and what a great post. Autistic kids often speak English as a preference over their native language because that's what they're probably exposed to most online and English is easier for them. We have many cases at our clinic here in Thailand where the kids speak better English than Thai!

Best wishes to you and Colin and try to keep up with the therapy, it can really help :-)
