Living in LA: Week 3 review
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share my experience here in Los Angeles, CA as a new resident.
Pros and cons!
Pros
Weather - The weather here compared to WV is amazing. Right now in January it's 57-73 F each day.
Food - With the diverse communities all across California, food is by fare one of the coolest adjustments. Any cuisine I desire is within a walking/scooter distance. This is super important because in a large city like LA, it' convenient when you don't have to travel from the west to the east side of the city to get Indian or Italian. Where I previously lived in WV. Other cuisines was less common to be within a walking distance or one style of your liking on the same side of the city.
Events - Professional sports, concerts, hobby events like car/bike clubs, you really see this stuff by the masses here. There is always something to do
Cons:
Population - It's crowded, something you must get used to very fast. When learning to drive in the city it's complicated because there are more people. I was taken back at first but when I learned that everyone else knows how to drive I felt confident as I'm a good driver.
Cost of living - Yes the cost of living here is higher, but in the "workforce" the "American engine" people here make more on average as opposed to other states. It seems to level off. We shall see.......
Crime - Crime is everywhere, but it's definitely up here as there are a lot of people and it's just a numbers game. It feels around you but not directed towards you if that makes sense. Per capita there are going to be a large number of crimes because of the amount of people here....we can't be good :)

Beautiful place 😍 and beautiful photographs ❤❤
Thank you so much! More to come :)
So beautiful!
In Los Angeles air humid or dry? In Khabarovsk, for example, you can go crazy from humidity
The air is great and not humid. Here in February it's clear sky, I assume the summers will be hot but I'm ready.
Weather just like in paradise😊
Congrats on your new home dude! I'm sure there is a lot to love about being out on the west coast. At least in LA, you have a greater chance of huge opportunities coming your way... Whereas here in WV, you are kinda all on your own and have to just make do with the little chances we get here and there.
I think you are going to find great success, but there will be a lot of ups and downs of course. You can stick to the things that you do best and perhaps pick up some new skills as well. I look forward to seeing what you think of living there after 6 months.
You are in a place where so many people across the world would kill to be, don't let all of the craziness out there cause you to forget about how lucky you are to have an actual opportunity to grind in a place full of luxuries and success stories. I bet you will find a way to get plugged in thanks to your ability to be resourceful and social.
Keep us updated here on Hive with your happenings... Hell, maybe encourage some of your new friends to join us here. I know a lot of them aren't ready for the jump to Web 3, but you are already familiar with the social part of the future of tech. In time, the masses will flock to tokenized communities like Hive.
I wish you the best and am happy to stay in touch if you ever start missing the simplicity of WV. I know we both lead busy lives, but we also have our heads on our shoulders properly. You got this man!
Thank you bro that means a lot! I do plan to post my California journey on HIVE so stay tuned.
