Tying The Knot | #Monomad Challenge

avatar

A few weeks ago, my cousin was engaged to her long-time partner, and they decided to get married by end of this month. We're very happy to see her that they're tying the knot finally. And since she knew that I'm into photography she then asked me if I can do a pre-nuptial photoshoot for them. Without hesitation, I accept it, in fact, I am very happy that I will be able to be part of this special moment in their lives.

Here are some of the photos we did a few weeks ago. I turned these photos into Black and White for this will be my entry as well for the #monomad challenge of @monochromes. Check it out in the below photos.

Since it's a prenup it will be more on portrait shots which my lens is not designed for particular photography. I'm actually using a telephoto lens in these shots with 18-140mm and an aperture of 3.5 to 5.6 which for me is not ideal for portrait photography. Lucky enough that we were shooting in the morning so I do not have to worry about the lighting because I have to zoom in the lens so I can get enough bokeh effect in the photos.

As you can see in the above photo I use the huge rock as the foreground so I can get a front bokeh effect. Same with the photo of Dwight below that I have to find a good foreground so as to get a good focus of him. And to pull off a better bokeh effect I have to zoom in on the subject and the subject must be far enough from the background just like what I did with the photo of Rogelyn. The bokeh effect would be best if I use a lens with a lower aperture it would create a dramatic bokeh effect.

These photos are some of the many we took and sure I will share more of these in the coming days, especially that we will be doing a second batch of photoshoots.

Above photos were all captured by yours truly at Tingko Beach of Alcoy, Cebu, using Nikon D5600 with an 18-140mm Nikkor lens.

Dear @jayparagat, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got an important support from the community. However, it lost its funding few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

Your support would be really helpful and you could make the difference! Thank you!
