Finally, Jujutsu Kaisen Thursdays have arrived, and they kicked off with a double episode, the same length as the last movie, but that was already expected. From what I can see, this part of the arc will be split into two parts, 12 episodes each, with the second part expected to be released at the end of the year, though that's still uncertain. Today, I want to briefly share my first impressions of these two episodes, which I can tell you right now are absolutely fantastic, but I also want to talk about the opening, which is generating a lot of buzz.

Finalmente los jueves de Jujutsu Kaisen han llegado y lo hizo con un doble episodio que eran los mismos que la última película pero eso ya era algo que sabíamos. Esta parte del arco por lo que veo la van a dividir en dos, de 12 capítulos cada una, asumiendo que la segunda parte saldrá a finales de año, aún no se sabe. Hoy quiero hablar muy por encima de las primeras impresiones que me quedaron de estos dos episodios que ya les adelanto son una barbaridad absoluta pero también lo quiero hacer con su opening que está dando mucho de que hablar.

The opening theme, "AIZO," is by King Gnu, who are participating for the third time. Personally, it's one of my favorites visually, but beyond that, its true value lies in all the nods to different works of art. Gustav Klimt's The Kiss, Paul Rubens' Two Sleeping Girls, Egon Schiele's Dead Mother, Camille Monet and a Child in the Garden, and even the very famous Edvard Munch's The Scream are all present. This speaks volumes about the impressive visuals we see in the minute and a half that this intro lasts. All these references are adapted to the characters and the moments they will likely experience in this new arc.

El opening está en manos de King Gnu quienes ya serían la tercera vez que participan y se llama "AIZO". Personalmente a nivel visual es de los que más me ha gustado pero más allá de esto lo verdaderamente valioso son todos lo guiños que tiene hacia diferentes obra de arte. El beso de Gustav Klimt, Dos niñas durmiendo de Paul Rubens, Madre muerta de Egon Schiele, Camille Monet y un niño en el jardín y hasta el muy famoso El grito de Edward Munch. Esto nos habla de las impresionantes visuales que vemos en el poco más de minuto y medio que dura este intro. Todas estas referencias están adaptadas a los personajes y a los momentos que probablemente vayan a vivir en este nuevo arco.

I like the song. It's true that at times everything seems like a mix of many things, but when we look closely, that's when we notice all these "Easter eggs." Once again, Shota Goshozono is in charge of everything we see, one of the best directors of our time, who, along with MAPPA, is undoubtedly doing an exceptional job. I think it's one of the anime I enjoy watching the most thanks to its animation. In this arc, we'll focus on three important things: Itadori's sentence after the events in Shibuya, the power struggle within the Zenin clan to see who will lead it, and finally, the start of the Sacrifice Games, which is how episode 2 ended.

La canción me gusta, si que es verdad que por momentos todo parece una mezcla de muchas cosas pero cuando detallamos al máximo es ahí cuando nos damos cuenta de todos estos "Easter egg". Otra vez Shota Goshozono está a cargo de todo lo que vemos, uno de los mejores directores de estos tiempos quien junto a MAPPA sin duda están haciendo un trabajo excepcional. Creo que es de los anime que más disfruto de ver gracias a su animación. En este arco nos enfocaremos en tres cosas importantes. La sentencia de Itadori que después de lo hechos de Shibuya lo mandaron a matar, la lucha dentro del clan Zenin por ver quien lo termina liderando y finalmente por el inicio de los juegos del Sacrificio, forma en como terminó el capítulo 2.

With Gojo sealed away, all these sorcerers are going to have to face all the threats that come their way, and judging by the first two chapters, there will be many. I liked what I saw of Naoya Zenin; his initial fight with Choso was spectacular. He's another character who will have a very important role in this arc and has already joined the group. I didn't know that Itadori's "brother" was so powerful, and he certainly proved his worth in that fight. That was one of the best things this beginning gave us. Yuta Okkotsu's performance is also worth noting. With Gojo absent, it seems he'll be the all-powerful character. We saw his power and abilities, and they're very comparable to Satoru's.

Al estar Gojo sellado pues todos estos hechiceros van a tener que hacer frente a todas las amenazas que se le presenten y que si juzgamos por los dos primeros capítulos pues serán muchas la verdad. Me gustó lo que vi de Naoya Zenin, su pelea inicial con Choso fue espectacular, otro de los personajes que tendrá una relevancia muy grande en este arco y que ya se unió al grupo. No sabía que este "hermano" de Itadori fuera tan poderoso y la verdad es que demostró su valía en dicho enfrentamiento. De lo mejor que nos dejó este inicio fue esto. Lo de Yuta Okkotsu también es para remarcar y es que ante la ausencia de Gojo pues tiene toda la pinta de que él será el personaje todopoderoso. Vimos el poder y las habilidades que tiene y son muy comparables con la Satoru.

I think the beginning was spectacular, as one would expect. Jujutsu Kaisen has an aura that other anime lack; it's hard to explain, but it's true. It's a blend of darkness, with a well-constructed story and very complex and well-developed characters. It's impressive that they all have some kind of inner conflict. This arc isn't the best we've seen, but it's certainly packed with action and great fights. The Shibuya Incident was very emotional, and I don't know to what extent they'll maintain that level in this arc, but I do think the Sacrifice Games will be a major talking point. Let's hope they handle them well.

Creo que el inicio fue espectacular, como no se podía esperar otra cosa, Jujutsu Kaisen tiene un aura que otros anime no tienen, es difícil de explicar pero es la verdad. Es una mezcla de oscuridad, con una historia bien armada y unos personajes muy complejos y bien desarrollados, es impresionante que todos tienen algún tipo de conflicto. Este arco no es el mejor que vamos a ver o hemos visto pero si es uno que está lleno de mucha acción y grandes peleas. El Incidente de Shibuya fue uno muy emocional y no sé hasta qué punto mantendrán esa línea en este pero si, los juegos del sacrificio creo que darán mucho de que hablar. Esperemos que los manejen bien.

I remember seeing Jujutsu Kaisan and didn't want to stop watching, it has a kind of different characters stuff compared to other animes. Imagine swallowing a finger

JJK can be quite dark when he wants to be, hence why his characters are so peculiar.

Se pueden decir muchas cosas de Jujutsu Kaisen, que es una copia de Naruto o Bleach, que no tiene personajes originales, que el sistema de poder es un completo sinsentido, que es puras peleas y buena animación, etc. Pero de algo que hasta yo mismo he admitido de este anime es que engancha bastante.

Cuando le di la oportunidad al fin el año pasado, luego de que se calmara un poco el ambiente con lo de su segunda temporada y todo, me impresionó. Pero no por su historia, personajes, no, nada de eso. Lo que me impresiona es la manera en la que te engancha este pinche anime. Es como probar una hamburguesa y quedarte con ganas de más, sabiendo que no son para nada saludables. Así es este anime. Resumen los diálogos y las explicaciones, llaman tú atención con su manera de mezclar lo sobrenatural con la acción, el misterio y la comedia con una trama simple y bastante familiar para toda una generación pasada.

Es puro entretenimiento nomás, pero está buenísimo, la verdad. Ya quiero ver lo que se viene en esta temporada. Definitivamente el 2026 se vino con todo, chamo.

JJK tiene un alcance que muy pocos anime tienen y es raro porque uno diría que no es mejor que Chainsaw Man, aunque de gustos es complicado hablar. Pero es que yo creo que el tema es que bastante oscuro, más de lo que uno imagina y que los personajes están muy rotos. Gojo diría que es de los más poderosos de todo el universo del anime y eso llama la atención {poderoso pero ahora está sellado).

Es lo que dices, tiene algo que no se sabe muy bien que es pero si, engancha mucho al punto que ya es considerado de los mejores de siempre.
