Si, me monté en el tren un poco tarde, cuatro años después para ser más exactos, pero ciertamente era una deuda que tenía que cumplir como gran fanático de la franquicia que soy desde la época de los noventas. Para mi Dragon Ball Z representa una parte importante de mi infancia y fue justamente ahí, en el momento en el que Goku con una Genkidama derrota a Majin Boo, cuando dejé de ver muchas cosas relacionadas a la serie.

Yes, I got on the train a little late, four years later to be more exact, but it was certainly a debt I had to fulfill as a big fan of the franchise that I am since the nineties. For me Dragon Ball Z represents an important part of my childhood and it was precisely there, at the moment when Goku with a Genkidama defeats Majin Boo, when I stopped watching many things related to the series.

Hasta que un día me decidí a sentarme y comenzar a ver los capítulos de toda esta parte de la serie. Tengo que decir que me gustó muchísimo porque como siempre vemos cosas nuevas e inesperadas que aunque como fanático ya más o menos intuimos igualmente verlas suceder es una sensación que a pesar del paso de los años nunca va a cambiar.

Until one day I decided to sit down and start watching the chapters of this part of the series. I have to say that I liked it a lot because as always we see new and unexpected things that although as a fan we already more or less intuitively know, seeing them happen is a feeling that despite the passing of the years will never change.

Como les comenté Dragon Ball Super da inicio justamente un tiempo después de los acontecimientos de Majin Boo, a partir de ese momento se comienzan a desarrollar las cinco sagas que conforman esta parte de la historia de la franquicia: (Batalla de los dioses, Golden Freezer, Torneo de los universos 6 y 7, Goku Black y finalmente el Torneo del Poder). Acá sucede que a medida que va avanzando la trama, lógicamente mejor se va poniendo.

As I mentioned before, Dragon Ball Super starts just after the events of Majin Boo, from that moment on, the five sagas that make up this part of the franchise's history begin to develop: (Battle of the Gods, Golden Freezer, Tournament of Universes 6 and 7, Goku Black and finally the Tournament of Power). Here it happens that as the plot progresses, logically it gets better and better.

Mi intención no es explicar cada saga porque estaríamos aquí leyendo 3 días pero si tocar un poco las cosas que nos vamos encontrado en el camino. Whis y el Dios de la destrucción Bills son grandes protagonistas a lo largo de todas las sagas, me gustó que no solo se enfocaran en los personajes de siempre sino que le dieran protagonismo a otros y estos dos son realmente relevantes para la trama en general.

My intention is not to explain each saga because we would be here reading for 3 days but to touch a little on the things we find along the way. Whis and the God of Destruction Bills are great protagonists throughout all the sagas, I liked that they didn't only focus on the usual characters but they gave prominence to others and these two are really relevant to the plot in general.

Básicamente es lo mismo de siempre, en cada oportunidad va a aparecer un oponente o enemigo que va a exigir el doble o el triple a Goku y compañía, esa ha sido la premisa desde los tiempos de Dragon Ball Z y acá no hay razón para que cambie. Claramente vemos a TODOS mucho más fuertes y con mucho más nivel de poder y pelea lo que hace que los "villanos" sean como son, un verdadero dolor de cabeza. En el Super hay tres, según mi criterio, que son los que pusieron en aprietos a todos: Goku Black, Hit y Jiren. Cada uno con su estilo y poder pero que la verdad son temibles.

Basically it's the same as always, at every opportunity an opponent or enemy will appear that will demand double or triple from Goku and company, that has been the premise since the times of Dragon Ball Z and here there is no reason for it to change. Clearly we see EVERYONE much stronger and with much more level of power and fighting which makes the "villains" the way they are, a real pain in the ass. In Super there are three, in my opinion, that are the ones that put everyone in trouble: Goku Black, Hit and Jiren. Each one with his own style and power, but they are truly fearsome.

Si me preguntan cual de los tres me gustó más les diría que por la historia/trama que elaboraron sería Goku Black y su historia completa. Honestamente esa saga me pareció increíble porque fue una donde se mezcló muchas cosas, la esperanza de la humanidad, el poder de los dioses, la determinación de ciertos personajes y porque allí vimos lo que es la verdadera maldad; muy buena, de las mejores de Dragon Ball Super sin ninguna duda.

If you ask me which of the three I liked the most, I would tell you that for the story/plot they elaborated it would be Goku Black and its complete story. Honestly that saga seemed incredible to me because it was one where many things were mixed, the hope of humanity, the power of the gods, the determination of certain characters and because there we saw what true evil is; very good, one of the best of Dragon Ball Super without any doubt.

Ahora, hablemos brevemente del viaje de Goku en parte de todas estas sagas. De él conocíamos tres transformaciones, Super Saiyajin 1,2 y 3 siendo la última la que utilizó en la batalla final con Boo. Pero acá ustedes verán unas cuantas más, TRES más para ser exactos, y es que saben que el poder de Goku al parecer es ilimitado ya que siempre saca energía de no se sabe donde.

Now, let's talk briefly about Goku's journey in part of all these sagas. We knew three transformations of him, Super Saiyajin 1, 2 and 3, the last one being the one he used in the final battle with Boo. But here you will see a few more, THREE more to be exact, and you know that Goku's power is apparently unlimited since he always gets energy from nowhere.

God y Blue son dos de ellas, la tercera se las dejo como incógnita para que se animen a ver esta parte de la serie. Otra de las cosas que les puede decir es que hay muchos capítulos que son de "relleno", como en todas las series, al punto de que no pasa nada si se los saltan porque es que la mayoría de ellos no llegan a aportar nada sustancioso a la trama por lo que no se van a perder de nada. Son 131 episodios divididos en las cinco sagas.

God and Blue are two of them, the third one I leave as an unknown so that you are encouraged to watch this part of the series. Another thing I can tell you is that there are many chapters that are "filler", as in all series, to the point that nothing happens if you skip them because most of them do not get to contribute anything substantial to the plot so you will not miss anything. There are 131 episodes divided into the five sagas.

Dragon Ball Super sigue manteniendo la esencia principal y es el toque humano que tiene, creo que eso es algo que nunca dejaremos de ver porque es parte del sello de la franquicia. Sentimientos como el orgullo, la confianza, el amor, la amistad y el deseo de superación y de supervivencia son algunos de los que veremos acá en mayor medida. Hay lazos invisibles que podrán pasar muchas sagas pero que seguirán siendo irrompibles, Gohan y Piccolo, Vegeta con su familia, Goku con Krilin, etc; y que esto es lo que hace que Dragon Ball sea lo que es después de 35 años.

Dragon Ball Super continues to maintain the main essence and that is the human touch it has, I think that is something that we will never stop seeing because it is part of the hallmark of the franchise. Feelings such as pride, trust, love, friendship and the desire to overcome and survive are some of those that we will see here to a greater extent. There are invisible bonds that may pass many sagas but will remain unbreakable, Gohan and Piccolo, Vegeta with his family, Goku with Krilin, etc; and this is what makes Dragon Ball what it is after 35 years.

La última saga, el torneo del poder, es un cierre muy épico porque yo diría que es como un resumen de TODO lo que representa Dragon Ball. Son aproximadamente 20 capítulos de peleas y combates de todas formas y estilos que como dije engloba a la perfección el espíritu de la franquicia. No pudieron hacer un mejor cierre, 10/10.

The last saga, the tournament of power, is a very epic closing because I would say it is like a summary of EVERYTHING Dragon Ball represents. It's about 20 chapters of fights and combats of all forms and styles that as I said perfectly encompasses the spirit of the franchise. They couldn't do a better closing, 10/10.

En resumidas cuentas, no me arrepiento de nada de haber visto casi 131 capítulos de un anime que me sigue llamando la atención y del que probablemente siga viendo cosas en medida que las vayan sacando. Si alguna vez fuiste o eres fanático de esto, amigo y amiga, te recomiendo ampliamente que vayas a darle un vistazo y te montes en el tren de Dragon Ball Super que sinceramente no tiene perdida.

All in all, I have no regrets about watching almost 131 episodes of an anime that continues to hold my attention and that I will probably continue to watch as they are released. If you ever were or are a fan of this, my friend, I highly recommend you go check it out and get on the Dragon Ball Super train, you can't miss it.
