Are we really in that big of a hurry?

This happened to my wife earlier this morning and I had to stop
and really think.

My wife was on her daily commute to work and she takes the bus
nothing different than any other morning except for today.

Normally the driver gives enough time for a person to take a seat
before taking off (or at least get somewhat stable) before the bus starts to move.

Well this driver didn't do that, he or she proceeded to take off
before my wife had a chance to sit down.

And for whatever reason had to hit the brakes suddenly causing
my wife to fall. Hitting her head and shoulder on a part of the seat she was trying to take a seat in.

Needless to say she hit the floor her purse and other items go
flying.

Naturally a bit shaken up and embarassed she collects her things,
(another passenger helps) then checks to see if she is bleeding or anything.

Then of course calls me of course my first question is are you ok?

She say's yes not bleeding or anything broken just more upset
that the driver couldn't wait a few seconds to let her sit down.

Now I could go on and on about this and part of me wants to, but I won't.

But will ask this question...

Are we so busy in our day to day lifes that we can't spare a few seconds or minutes for another person. And espcially when it comes to anothers safety!

What even makes this worse is that the driver didn't even stop or ask if she was ok.

Have a good day all and please be mindful of others

You are right there... People are distancing more and more from each other and we definitely need more empathy and care toward others... The worst thing is that the bus driver had probably a lot of his own issues on his mind... Not an excuse for his actions, it's sad to see that people are overwhelmed and always in a hurry... Society is rushing us to the abyss...

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project and it will be highlighted in the next post!
