Wise and golden spring...

Of this natural yellow carpet...

The big house, the lung of my city, is dressed in yellow, and so the curarires of Maracaibo flourish.

Between the singing of the birds and the warm glow of the sun, the curarires bloomed, a tree whose species is only seen in three states of the country (Falcón, Lara and Zulia). After the first rain, this penultimate Thursday of April 2024, dozens of Marabinos went to the Botanical Garden of the city to appreciate the “yellow paths” that are formed by the fall of the flowers, which will descend until next Sunday, April 28.

This botanical garden was made a reality as a school garden in 1983, it is an institution for the preservation of the tropical dry forest, which houses documented collections of living plants for the purpose of supporting scientific research, conservation and education on flora issues.

It was a special day, and I went with my husband, who accompanied me, and my friend Jacquie. Blessed be God who allowed us to be enjoying a unique and wonderful moment. Nature and its things!!! Watching the Curarires bloom and fall is priceless. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the best picnic style.

Enjoying at all times what you do definitely strengthens the heart, and is that “There is no time to waste time”. There is always a flowering after some incident that we somehow think has no solution!!!

Without a doubt, admiring such a wonderful gift of nature, I certify that complaints and excuses only bring delays. We have to live the present with optimism and a lot of faith. Bloom always because that's where your essence and life is my mantra this weekend.

When we learn to let go is when we start blooming again. May life always give us the best of the best. I am deserving of all the good, because that's what I keep giving, the good to leave the best of me.

There we were, delirious with amazement, proud under that golden rain. Those Curarires, that endure the peel all year round to bloom, unleashed with the first rain because it is the only way to reproduce. To survive.

And why is that?

The Botanical Garden of Maracaibo is the ONLY PLACE IN VENEZUELA that is painted completely yellow for 4 days only.

It looks like a hallucination. Thousands of Curarires, trees that are the family of the Araguaney, our national tree, bloom so as not to die. They endure the drought all year round and as soon as the first rain falls - usually between April and the first days of May... they bloom...

And the yellow flowers appear untied covering with their scandal 108 hectares of tropical dry forest, the most threatened ecosystem on the planet, and we Zulianos, preserve it pristine in the Botanical Garden, in my city.

The yellow scandal, it only happens once a year, it lasts 4 days and one finds out 3 days before, to run out to enjoy. It is beautiful to see how all the people of Maracaibo are going to this yellow forest and take the best photos for the memory. It is difficult for me to summarize, in words and postcards, how amazing this place is.

The sensations it provokes, the natural forms that the healers evoke is full of small miracles of nature. Yes, if we lived more of the simplest and most human, we would learn that life has many positive things to contribute. Let no one turn off our light and brightness.

Curarires, are wise. They resist the onslaughts of drought. If they have to get rid of branches, they do it in order to hold the peel. Of course... as soon as the first rains fall they use all their energy to bloom unleashed because, it's the only way to reproduce. To survive.

I tell you in this post about how my people in my city take care to save this tropical dry forest, one of the few left in the world.

Janitze.

Oh wow.. thanks for this info. If this flower could grow in the climate here, I would also plant it. :)

Try to find the shrub and transplant it, it is a leafy tree that only blooms once a year for 4 days when the first rain falls in spring. It is the brother of the Araguaney our national tree. 🌼🌼🌼

Thank you for your subtle comment.

What a beautiful spectacle of nature beautiful friend.

Congratulations for living that moment one in the year of your beautiful city.

I loved the photos, a picnic in the best style.

Here are some similar ones, they are also seen in the hills, which during the year are dry and also begin to bloom with the rains, they look nice, there are also white ones.

Thank you very much beautiful friend, it is a spectacle this "yellow scandal" as I say, once a year in a botanical garden, which is a school of only flora, it was beautiful, and that day we met at picnic 5 people in allowed areas, that day I asked Mother nature for more kindness, generosity and love for humanity.

Thank you for your appreciation and such beautiful words about the magic of the golden station in my city. @leidimarc
