Paco's Rescue…|| Week:180

One day my husband called me at work and tells me that he saw a very small and very cute little dog taking dirty water from a stagnant pool in a square in my city.

He or she, looked disoriented, that she was lost, but very lively, cheerful and playful. He told me I'm going to grab her, I don't want to leave her alone, she could get lost or something bad could be done to her... It was about 10am on September 9th...

I told him OK... But I can't go before 12 m... And J.R., he had it loaded for over two hours. Until I was able to go get them with food, clean water, and we took it in my car, to a safe place.

Then my friend Jacquie met her or him, and it was love at first sight, first I named her Dulce because of her characteristic sweetness, someone in the square told my husband that she was a "girl", then they told us that he was a "boy" and I changed Paco's name to Francisco in honor of St. Francis of Assisi... we took her to the vet for her first checkup at a well-known veterinary clinic in Maracaibo, and she confirmed that she was "female" haha, but it turns out that everything changed.

Until neighbors and friends insisted that she was a male, and we took her/him, until that moment, to another doctor and discovered that she was a boy and that's how she changed his name to Paco as we know him today.

Jacquie visited him almost every day, it was her obligatory stop when she got off work, my husband even stayed over to sleep with him so as not to leave her alone in that safe place we had him... So the days passed and Jacquie managed to convince her husband to have Paco at home... and the rest is history...

Today Jacquie is the best mom that Paco can have that days ago was Jaquie birthday and Paco accompanied her to blow the candle. My family is always grateful that Paco has fallen into the hands of the best human mom there could be. And I'm happy to be her doggy "godmother".

I wish, Galen, that all human beings would give them the love and respect they deserve and understand the lessons of humility, protection, tenderness, love and nobility that they give us daily with their simple existence.

The human being should repay with the same love the infinite loyalty of these angels and make the world a less hostile place for them. I pray to heaven that there is not a single abused, abandoned, malnourished, homeless puppy or kitten on this planet where there is space and resources for everyone to live with the well-being they deserve.

Galen, this is a nice story of a rescue, with the best example, the importance of adoption, and NOT the purchase of pets. Responsible and loving tenure. And the love of animals.

Dogs are really nice, hostile when they need to be(sometimes not too. Lol). I don't think they should ever be disregarded. I used to not like them back then until I had a close encounter. Right now, if I could afford it, I'd own so many of those. They're just really lovely.

Paco is so cute and how nice that he has found a good mama hooman.
I agree with you there are so many puppies and kittens that need and deserve to be adopted that there is no reason to buy a pet.

Thank you very much, I think that all pets deserve to be rescued to find them a good family that gives them home with love, commitment and responsibility.

Have the best day possible🐶😻
