Hace tiempo en que dejé de ver asiduamente la televisión y las películas hollywoodenses. Pero en ocasiones rompo a regañadientes el letargo y observo con ojo crítico el contenido audiovisual de entretenimiento.
Inclusive, dudé si escribiría un post sobre la temática de una película del año 2014 producida en la india.
Una producción con actores afanados de Bollywood a quienes vi por primera vez.
No sé si ustedes las vieron alguna vez, pero yo tuve que verla dos veces en menos de 24 horas y no dudo en verla otra vez.
De hecho, no aspiro a las propinas en esta ocasiones, aunque si me las dan, las recibiré con gusto. Aunque pensaré esta vez en gastarla en una buena causa.
Ahora que los medios artísticos tienen alcance global se evita tratar de temas religiosos, o al menos, lo manejan con bastante cuidado por aquello de lo políticamente correcto.
Claro, también están los iconoclastas quienes abordan estos temas con sarcasmos y satíricamente despertando las pasiones de las fieles devotos de las religiones afectadas.
Bueno, la película que quiero recomendarte es “PK”.
Así que, te haré una muy breve sinopsis de la película con la intención de no caer en spoiler, pues mi intención es crear en ti la curiosidad.
Un explorador interplanetario humanoide llega a la tierra a las afueras de en poblado cercano a Nueva Delhi, capital de la India. Luego de un fugaz inconveniente con un lugareño pierde el dispositivo de comunicación con la nave espacial, así que queda al comienzo de su misión varado en el planeta.
La película dura algo más de dos horas, y te aseguro que no te aburrirás en lo absoluto.
Reirás y llorarás, pero sobre todo, te hará reflexionar sobre cómo la humanidad está plagada de instituciones bien intencionadas centradas en cosmovisiones cuyo centro es Dios.
Sí, estoy consciente de estar pisando terreno pantanoso.
Los ateos pudieran atacarme de ser otro fanático más queriéndoles convencer de salir de un supuesto error.
Así que si eres ateo puedes quedarte tranquilo. Hace tiempo que entendí, que cada quien es libre de creer o no creer en lo que quieran. Al final, creyente, agnóstico y no creyente vivimos el aquí y el ahora sin garantía del destino.
Además, no vi ningún personaje encarnando al ateo.
Quienes quizás tengan sentimientos encontrados al ver la película, sean los fieles devotos de algunas religiones que ven amenazadas los dogmas.
Por supuesto que cuando esta película fue estrenada levantó muchas controversias y demandas por herir supuestamente los sentimientos de algunas comunidades.
Me pregunto, ¿cuál es el problema que Dios trae al mundo?
En la película, el alien hace preguntas incómodas y recrea dilemas que parecen obvias, pero no lo son.
En mi opinión, más allá de encolerizarse por la manera en que se plantean las cuestiones sustanciales de las principales religiones del mundo. Uno debiera entrar en una profunda reflexión con lógica y sentimiento maduro.
El mensaje connotado y global de esta excelente película, me dejó sin duda una profunda impresión.
Si bien, el argumento no es del todo impactante por el tamiz cómico trágico. Si lo considero innovador, valiente y atrevido.
PK es una expresión que en la india significa borracho. ¡Curiosa forma para titular una película!
Por cierto, el alien nunca bebió licor en ninguna escena. Lo más cercano que estuvo fue llevando en las manos un par de botellas de vino.
En todo caso, uno debería estar borracho para quedar indiferente a esta película.
Así que, te animo a buscar en tu navegador la película y la veas si no la ha visto.

I stopped watching television and Hollywood movies assiduously some time ago. But occasionally, I reluctantly break the lethargy and watch audiovisual entertainment content with a critical eye.
I even doubted whether I would write a post on the subject matter of a 2014 movie produced in India.
A production with Bollywood actors I saw for the first time.

Well! The movie I want to recommend to you is "PK."
So, I will give you a very brief synopsis of the movie with the intention of not falling into spoilers, as my goal is to create curiosity in you.
A humanoid interplanetary explorer arrives on Earth on the outskirts of a village near New Delhi, the capital of India.
As he begins his journey, he has a fleeting encounter with a villager, who steals his communication device with the spacecraft.
So, he is stranded right at the beginning of the mission and has to find a way to recover the artifact, and only God can help him.
The movie is just over two hours long, and I assure you won't be bored at all.
For sure, you will laugh and cry. But most of all, it will make you reflect on how humanity is plagued by well-meaning institutions centered on worldviews whose center is God.
Yes, I am aware that I am treading on swampy ground.
Atheists might attack me as only another fanatic trying to convince them out of a supposed error.
So if you are an atheist, you can rest assured. I understood long ago that everyone is free to believe or not to believe in whatever they want. In the end, believers, agnostics, and non-believers; live in the here and now with no guarantee of destiny.
Besides, I did not see any character embodying the atheist.
Those who may have mixed feelings when watching the film are the faithful devotees of some religions who see their dogmas threatened.
Of course, when this movie was released, it raised a lot of controversy and lawsuits for supposedly hurting the feelings of some communities.
I wonder, what is the problem that God brings to the world?
In the movie, the alien asks uncomfortable questions and recreates dilemmas that seem obvious but are not.
In my opinion, beyond being angered by the way the substantive questions of the world's major religions are posed. One should enter into deep reflection with logic and mature feeling.
This excellent film's overall message certainly left a deep impression on me.
Although the plot is not entirely shocking because of the tragic-comic sieve. I do consider it innovative, courageous, and daring.
PK is an expression that in Indian means drunkard, a curious way to title a movie!
By the way, the alien never drank liquor in any scene. The closest he came was carrying a couple of bottles of wine in his hands.
In any case, one would have to be drunk to be indifferent to this movie.
So, I encourage you to search your browser for the movie and watch it if you haven't seen it.
It was outskirts of Rajhasthan and he travelled to New Delhi in search of his artefacts so that he can return back to his planet and in mean time he met with do many religious thoughts that purely explain how things folds up in India.
I agree it is a must watch movie with pure entertainment and giving you some meaningful insights of human life.
Yes, it is very entertaining, but what is really valuable is the overall message.
