Greetings beer lovers, I hope you have a refreshing and sparkling BeerSaturday, today we bring to the feed of this hoppy community an article in which I will tell you about another Colombian beer that I am trying today, it is called Cerveza Azteca, I will also tell you about a drink that Colombians living on the coast (Barranquilla) prepare with this beer, and popularly called Refajo Costeño .
Saludos amantes de la cerveza, espero tengan un refrescante y espumoso BeerSaturday, hoy traemos al feed de esta lupulosa comunidad un articulo en el cual les hablare de otra cerveza Colombiana que estoy probando hoy, se llama Cerveza Azteca, también les comentare acerca una bebida que los Colombianos que viven en la costa (Barranquilla) preparan con esta cerveza, y que llaman popularmente Refajo Costeño .
This beer that I share with you today is produced by the Colombian company based in the city of Bogota, Bavaria & CIA,S.C. A, which in turn belongs to the largest Belgo-Brazilian brewing conglomerate in the world, AB InBev, which have a global market share of approximately 25% , this low cost beer (Six Pack 330 CM3 = 12,000 Colombian Pesos = USD 3 ) was released to the Colombian market in April 2019, its type is Pilsen and its ingredients are: Malted barley,Saaz hops,yeast and spring water, the alcohol volume is 4.2% , among its organoleptic characteristics we find: light and fresh flavor, golden color, leaves a good crown of creamy foam in pitcher or glass, highlights the malt aroma with light spicy notes due to the hops.
Esta cerveza que hoy les comparto es producida por la empresa Colombiana con sede en la ciudad de Bogotá, Bavaria & CIA,S.C.A, la cual a su vez pertenece al conglomerado Belgo Brasileña cervecero más grande del mundo, AB InBev, los cuales tienen una cuota de mercado global aproximadamente del 25% , esta cerveza de bajo costo (Six Pack 330 CM3 = 12.000 Pesos colombianos = USD 3 ) salió al mercado colombiano en Abril 2019, su tipo es Pilsen y sus ingredientes son: Cebada malteada,lúpulo Saaz,levadura y agua de manantial, el volumen de alcohol es de 4,2% , entre sus características organolépticas encontramos: Sabor ligero y fresco, color dorado, deja una buena corona de cremosa de espuma en jarra o vaso, resalta el aroma a malta con ligeras notas especiadas debido al lúpulo.

Les comento que desde que llegué hace 2 meses a la ciudad costeña de Barranquilla en Colombia, me ha llamado la atención una bebida que toman las personas de esta ciudad, le llaman Refajo, para su preparación emplean refresco de manzana o cola, en mi caso lo preparé con bebida de manzana, la cual mezclé con la cerveza Azteca, el resultado es una bebida bastante refrescante y de agradable sabor. Investigando en la web encontré que el refajo se prepara en Colombia desde el año 1911 y tiene su origen en las empresas cerveceras de finales del siglo 19, las cuales se vieron afectadas por una profunda depresión económica que las obligó a reinventarse, en la mayoría de los casos estas empresas también eran productoras de gaseosas, por lo que pudieron mantenerse en el mercado gracias a la invención del refajo que combina cerveza y refresco de cola o manzana, hoy en dia cada ciudad prepara su propio refajo, la bebida debido a la mezcla de gaseosa y cerveza se ve reducido su volumen de alcohol al 2% , para ello existe una ley que define a esta bebida como refrescante, y puede ser consumida por mujeres y niños.
