Cine TV Contest #33 - Favorite Movie With a Prominent Father - Miracle in Cell number 7

I hope I still made it to this week's Cine TV Contest. The focus for this week is a movie with a prominent father figure.

After seeing the focus, only one Movie came to my mind. For those of you who already saw some of my reviews in Cine Community, you know that I am a Kdrama Fan.

So for this Contest, I will be sharing with you an old movie that I like so much. It made me cry a lot so for those of you who are going to watch this movie, prepare a box of tissue to wipe your tears and your nose.

This Movie is so famous around the world that it was re-make in different countries like the Philippines, Turkey, and Indonesia.

Story Plot

The film is based on the true account of a man who, after being tortured, confessed under pressure to the rape and murder of a 9-year-old girl in Chuncheon on September 27, 1972, until being finally cleared of all charges in November 2008.

This is a tale of love between a mentally ill father who was falsely convicted of murder. and his adorable six-year-old daughter.
He develops relationships with the hardened criminals in his cell, who in turn assist him in seeing his daughter by smuggling her into jail.

Review

First off, despite being a tearjerker, I can assure you that this film is also incredibly humorous. No matter if you cry out of happiness or loneliness, this film will force you to cry a lot. Yes, force! because you are powerless to stop crying.

Despite how depressing this film is, I felt happy when it ended. Ryu Seong-ryong, the protagonist, did a fantastic job of portraying a mentally sick person. He is the best actor I've seen play a mentally sick character, and there aren't many.

In this film, people with diverse viewpoints come together and support one another because they understand that they can depend solely on one another.

What I adore is a daughter's unwavering devotion to her devoted father.
I couldn't help but recall some of the scenes as I was writing this article (now I am tearing up again).

I also adore the part in which Lee Yong Gu's friend aids in his status (as an innocent man) restoration.

In spite of its sadness, this film will ultimately make you smile and help you rediscover the beauty of the world.
