Monsters gets unprotected without armors.

Unprotected ruleset.png

Hi, today I'm about to write a post featuring a battle in Unprotected ruleset along with two more from analyzing a top battle from gold league.

The battle that I'm about to analyze was between Terroriser and Raein where Terroriser won the battle.

With Thaddius Brood as summoner, Terroriser used six monsters which are: Pelacor Deceiver, Uraeus, Spirit Hoarder, Creeping Ooze, Silent Sha-Vi, Cursed Slimeball.

And with Zintar Mortalis as summoner, Raein also used six monsters which are: Haunted Spirit, Skeleton Assassin, Uraeus, Creeping Ooze, Silent Sha-Vi, Shadowy Presence.

Battlefield Review - Battle Link

Odd Ones OutUnprotectedFire & Regret
Only monsters with odd mana costs maybe used in battlesMonsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from abilities of summoner buffsAll monsters have the return fire ability

1, 3, 5, ... n = do you remember this types of math or did you learn these types of math in your childhood? Well, I did and now that comes handy to understand this odd ones out ruleset where monsters with only odd mana costs like 1, 3, 5, 7 etc can be used in the battle.

All monsters gets armor less in this battle for unprotected ruleset where they don't have their own armor and they can't get armor from summoner buffs or their abilities as well. Though the challenge post says "Shield and Divine Shield are unaffected".

And there's fire & regret ruleset where all monsters returns half damage back to ranged attacker.

The summoner of Terroriser normally decrease one magic damage and one health from opponent monsters but as there is no magic attackers in the opponent team, they lost only one health each. And then the summoner of Raein decreased on melee damage of three opponent melee attackers.

Creeping Ooze from both team decreased one speed of all opponent monsters who had more than one speed using slow ability, Shadowy Presence of Raein increased the lost health using its strengthen ability, Spirit Hoarder of Terroriser blinded all opponent monsters so all enemy melee attackers have a 15% higher chance of missing their target.

The Battle

image.png

There were Silent Sha-Vi in both team and this monster had the highest speed among all other monsters and they target the last opponent monster instead of the first one using their sneak ability. Silent Sha-Vi of Terroriser attacked first for having the biggest speed and that attack damaged two health of the opponent's Shadowy Presence. Then Silent Sha-Vi of Raein attacked and killed the opponent's Cursed Slimeball. So yeah the team that won the battle lost a monster first.

Cursed Slimeball had redemption ability and for that, when this monster dies, it damages one health to all enemy monsters so all enemy monsters lost one health each where Raein lost their Creeping Ooze and now the monsters of Terroriser became more fast for getting their lost speed back.

image.png

Uraeus of Terroriser attacked and killed the enemy Shadowy Presence and now the winner team got an extra kill than the losing team already and now all the monsters of Raein lost the extra health they got from strengthen ability.

Now after Pelacor Deceiver damaged two health of the enemy Haunted Spirit, then Skeleton Assassin and Uraeus of Raein damaged four health of the opponent's Silent Sha-Vi. Then Haunted Spirit increased all its lost health using its heal ability and then attacked the opponent Pelacor Deceiver but missed the melee damage probably because of the blind effect.

There Pelacor Deceiver had backfire ability that damaged two health of the opponent's Haunted Spirit because the opponent monster missed its attack. Then Spirit Hoarder increased two health of Silent Sha-Vi using its triage ability and damaged one health of the opponent's Haunted Spirit and there was a magic reflect damage from the opponent monster where the attacker lost one health as well.

image.png

After Silent Sha-Vi of Terroriser damaged two health of the other Silent Sha-Vi, then Uraeus of Terroriser damaged one health of the same opponent monster and applied poison so the opponent monster will lose health automatically at the beginning of each following round.

Then Pelacor Deceiver damaged two health of the Haunted Spirit and there Silent Sha-Vi and Skeleton Assassin of Raein made a pack and killed the other Silent Sha-Vi. Then Uraeus of Raein killed Creeping Ooze of Terroriser and all monsters of Raein got back their lost speed.

Haunted Spirit missed its attack again but did some health increase and then lost two health to backfire of Pelacor Deceiver. And Spirit Hoarder did a triage health increase on thyself as it was the back-line monster that has taken the most damage and then damaged one health of Haunted Spirit and lost one health as well for magic reflect.

image.png

Silent Sha-Vi of Raein died at the beginning of a new round to poison damage and then Skeleton Assassin of Raein killed Spirit Hoarder of Terroriser.

Uraeus of Terroriser then damaged one health of the other Uraeus but didn't apply poison and then Pelacor Deceiver killed Haunted Spirit which was the a big turn towards victory. Then Uraeus of Raein damaged two health of the other Uraeus and applied poison which killed that monster at the beginning of the new round.

Then Skeleton Assassin of Raein died by backfire damage after missing its attack on Pelacor Deceiver and this last monster standing of Terroriser then killed the last monster of Raein and went for victory.

I'll analyze another battle later.
