Have you ever danced on a popular song, which became a dance fever? I'm not sure of the dance fevers in 1980s, but more familiar during the 1990s. Back in mid-1990s, the song "Macarena" became a global hit, and the world danced to the tune too.

It seems Spanish songs become popular, and dance fever. In 2002, "The Ketchup Song (Asereje)" became a big hit particularly in European countries. It was also very popular when here in the Philippines which there's a dance contest of the song in a noontime show.

Everyone danced to the 2012 Korean hit which became global "Gangnam Style" by Psy. Due to social media, it is much easier now for people to dance to different tunes. For a short time "Harlem Shake" by Baauer became a phenomenon in 2013.

At the moment, there are many dances becoming popular which can be found in social media. Though some of them are somewhat disgusting.
