Greetings 🙋, I hope you are having a beautiful Wednesday. Hugs to everyone who is part of #NeedleWork. I'm making this post very late, as many of you already know, today I had my first math IV midterm, and I'm so excited to show you this project I made for my little dog Princess. I had been wanting to make her a strawberry beanie for a long time, so I couldn't wait any longer. Lately, I have felt that Princess deserves more gifts from me and since I can't buy her anything, for now, I prefer to be the one who makes them for her. Most of you already know the story of how she came into my life, but I will give you a summary for those of you who are just getting to know me on the platform. My mother (my sister-in-law) was leaving Venezuela for Colombia because she had been offered a better job than the one she had here, she was not having a good time economically and without hesitation, she decided to leave. I had no one I trusted who wanted to take care of Princess, and as I knew that since I met Princess I wanted her as a gift (a long time ago, approximately 8 years ago), although I already had 3 other pets and with Princess it was going to be difficult to take care of her at that time. So just when my sister-in-law was leaving, I could take care of Princesa together with my parents and we accepted her, since that day I can say that this dog came into our lives to give us more joy and to give more color to our lives together with Luna who left this world a short time ago. Princess has become more than a pet for us, she is already like our baby, and that is one of the many reasons why I wanted to make her this hat. Without further ado, let's go through the step by step:

Saludos 🙋, espero estén teniendo un hermoso miércoles. Un abrazo a todos los que hacen parte en la #NeedleWork. Hago esta publicación muy tarde, como muchos ya saben, hoy tenía el primer parcial de matemática IV, y como estoy tan emocionada de mostrarles este proyecto que hice para mi perrita Princesa. Tenía mucho tiempo con ganas de hacerle un gorrito de fresas y pues no se hizo esperar más. Últimamente, he sentido que Princesa se merece más regalitos de mi parte y como por ahora no puedo comprarle nada, pues prefiero ser yo quien se los haga. Gran parte de ustedes ya saben la historia de como llegó a mi vida, pero voy a darles un breve resumen para los que apenas me están conociendo en la plataforma. La mamá (mi cuñada) se iba de Venezuela para Colombia, porque le habían ofrecido un mejor trabajo que el que ella tenía acá, no la estaba pasando bien económicamente y sin dudarlo decidió irse. No tenía a nadie de confianza que quisiera cuidar a Princesa, y como sabía que desde que conocí a Princesa quería que ella me la regalara (hace bastante tiempo atrás, aproximadamente 8 años), aunque ya yo tenía otras 3 mascotas más y con Princesa iba a ser difícil cuidarla en aquel entonces. Así que justo cuando mi cuñada se iba a ir, ya yo podía cuidar junto con mis padres a Princesa y la aceptamos, desde ese día puedo decir que esa perrita llegó a nuestras vidas para darnos más alegrías y para darle más color a nuestras vidas junto con Luna quién se fue a este mundo hace poco tiempo. Princesa se ha convertido en más que una mascota para nosotros, ya es como nuestra bebé, y esa es una de las muchas razones del porqué quise hacerle este gorrito. Sin más preámbulos, vamos con el paso a paso:

• With the wool needle we sew the leaves to the cap, before sewing all the leaves we fill in the stem. Then, we take the white thread and with the wool needle we make the seeds of the strawberry.

• Con la aguja lanera cosemos las hojas al gorro, antes de coser todas las hojas rellenamos el tallo. Luego, tomamos el hilo blanco y con la aguja lanera hacemos las semillas de la fresa.

We cut six threads of approximately 60 cm. We place them in the cap with the help of the crochet needle, folded in half, and we make the needles, then we close the cord with a knot, cut the excess and that's it.

Cortamos seis hilos de 60 cm aproximadamente. Lo colocamos en el gorro con ayuda de la aguja de crochet, doblados por la mitad, y hacemos clinejas, después cerramos el cordón con un nudo, cortamos el excedente y listo.

I took a thousand pictures and the thousand came out bad 😆 she wouldn't let me take pictures, she is very restless 🤣, but I still loved how the hat turned out and how it fits her, she looked like a diva 💅🏼. Y listo, asi quedo mi Princesa, tomé mil fotos y las mil salieron malas 😆 no se dejaba sacar fotos, esta muy inquieta 🤣, pero aun así me encantó como quedó el gorrito y como le queda, quedó como una diva 💅🏼.
