Hello friends of #Hive especially to those in the #Gems community, I hope you are having a good time, happy Thursday. Today I am very excited to show you the glasses that I bought saving for two months. I tell you that after so long I was finally able to buy something I needed so much. They cost me 88 dollars, with a quality frame and lenses. Since I was fifteen years old I have had to wear glasses and it was all because a high school teacher discovered that it was hard for me to read what she wrote on the blackboard at any distance, she talked to my mom and at that time it was a little more affordable to buy them. That's when it was discovered that I have myopia and astigmatism. At first I didn't like wearing glasses because I also wore braces and that's when they started nicknaming me "Ugly Betty". I didn't mind that because I know that if I don't wear glasses my vision can get worse. About 3 years ago I had to wear the same glasses, because Covid-19 arrived and my economy and that of my family had worsened a lot.

My previous glasses did not have anti-reflective lenses, and I had had them made at another optician's and the frame had not even lasted me three days and broke, then I had to go to another optician's and buy a new frame (cheap is expensive). I lasted with those lenses for such a long time that in the exam this time my right eye got worse than my left eye. In these two years that I saw online classes, wearing glasses with non-anti-reflective lenses while I was looking at my brother's cell phone or computer for a long time caused my eyes to get very tired and burned a lot. With my new glasses my eyes are still getting used to them, I have been wearing them for three days.

I am very happy because I managed to invest in something that will improve my vision and my health, because using them will reduce headaches. The truth is that the lenses were not so cheap, in other places I saw them much more expensive, even in the optician's where I had them made the doctor is a specialist, in other opticians' there are no specialists. When choosing the frame it was a little difficult to choose them, but when I saw these I felt that "click" that I had never felt before, they have several shades of purple (my favorite color). I tell you this to show you how excited I am because I was finally able to buy new glasses thanks to my work, it was hard to get them together, but it was worth it, this makes me feel a little more "independent" and that I have improved, that my sacrifice has been worth it. I feel like a more independent woman, although I know that I still live with my parents I have had the opportunity to contribute to the expenses of the house and that I still have enough to invest in myself. I hope in the next year my economy will improve more and I will be able to invest in my eyes because I have to change glasses every year so that my vision stops getting worse. 🤓

Hoy estoy muy emocionada por mostrarles los lentes que me compré ahorrando por dos meses. Les cuento que después de tanto tiempo al fin pude comprarme algo que tanto necesitaba. Me costaron 88 dólares, con una montura y cristales de calidad. Desde los quince años he tenido que usar lentes y todo fue porque una maestra de bachillerato descubrió que me costaba leer lo que ella escribía en la pizarra a la distancia que fuera, habló con mi mamá y en aquel entonces era un poco más accesible comprarlos. Es allí donde se descubrió que tengo miopía y astigmatismo. Al principio no me gustaba cargar lentes porque también usaba frenillos y es ahí donde empezaron a apodarme "Betty la fea". A mí eso no me importó porque sé que si no uso lentes mi visión puede empeorar más. Hace aproximadamente 3 años he tenido que usar los mismos lentes, porque llegó el Covid-19 y mi economía y la de mi familia había empeorado muchísimo.

Mis lentes anteriores no tenían cristales anti-reflejos, y yo los había mandado a hacer en otra óptica y la montura no me había durado ni tres días y se rompió, luego tuve que ir a otra óptica y comprar una nueva montura (lo barato sale caro). Duré con esos lentes bastante tiempo que en el examen de esta vez mi ojo derecho empeoró más que mi ojo izquierdo. En estos dos años que ví clases online, al usar lentes con cristales sin anti-reflejos mientras duraba mucho tiempo viendo el celular o la computadora de mi hermano me ocasionó que mis ojos se cansaran demasiado y me ardieran mucho. Con mis nuevos lentes aun mi vista se está acostumbrando, llevo usándolos tres días.

Estoy muy feliz porque logré invertir en algo que hará mejorar mi visión y mi salud, porque al usarlos disminuirán los dolores de cabeza. La verdad no salieron tan baratos los lentes, en otros lados lo ví muchos más caros, inclusive en la óptica que los mandé hacer la doctora sí es especialista, en las otras ópticas no hay especialistas. Al escoger la montura me costó un poco escogerlos, pero cuando ví éstos sentí ese "click" que jamás había sentido, tiene varios tonos de morado (mi color favorito). Les cuento esto para mostrarles la emoción que me da porque al fin pude comprarme lentes nuevos gracias a mi trabajo, me costó reunirlos, pero ha valido la pena, esto me hace sentir un poquito más "independiente" y que he mejorado, que mi sacrificio ha valido la pena. Me siento una mujer más independiente, aunque sé que aún vivo con mis padres he tenido la oportunidad para aportar en los gastos de la casa y que aún me quede para invertir en mí. Espero en el siguiente año mi economía mejore más y pueda invertir en mis ojos porque debo cambiar anualmente de cristales para que la visión pare de empeorar. 🤓
