Hello, internet friends! I hope you're OK. Today I want to share with you a somewhat older series that I recently had the chance to watch and found interesting... It's called School Days, which premiered in 2007, has 12 episodes, and is based on a visual novel of the same name.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una serie algo vieja, pero que tuve la oportunidad de ver hace poco y me pareció interesante...Se trata de School Days, la cual fue estrenada en 2007, consta de 12 episodios y está basado en una novela visual del mismo nombre.
Plot / Trama
Makoto Itō likes Kotonoha Katsura but doesn't dare approach her or ask her out. He enlists the help of his classmate, Sekai Saionji, who, without any apparent ulterior motive, offers to help him with Kotonoha and befriends her to try and get them together. However, Sekai harbors feelings for him. Although Makoto and Kotonoha initially seem like the perfect couple, their relationship is jeopardized when Makoto becomes romantically involved with Sekai, initially out of "practice," creating a love triangle that later expands when Makoto ends up becoming intimate with all the girls in his class.
Makoto Itō gusta de Kotonoha Katsura pero no sé atreve a acercarsele en invitarla a salir, por lo que recibe ayuda de Sekai Saionji su compañera de clase que sin ningún interés aparente se ofrece a ayudarlo con ella y de hace amiga de Kotonoha para lograr que ellos se vuelvan pareja sin embargo, Sekai oculta sentimientos por él. Aunque al principio Makoto y Kotonoha parece la pareja perfecta, su relación peligra cuando Makoto se enreda románticamente con Sekai al principio por "práctica" por lo que se envuelven en un triángulo amoroso, que luego se expande cuando Makoto acaba relacionándose íntimamente con todas las chicas de su clase.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
I discovered this series in 2007 thanks to a friend's recommendation, but I left it on my to-watch list and only recently decided to watch it. Although I had my doubts at first, I'd say I liked it. Initially, it presents itself as a romance anime that explores themes like infidelity and toxicity, which makes it seem like a soap opera at the beginning. However, I certainly didn't see that bizarre and bloody ending coming, even though it's clear that both protagonists, especially Kotonoha, have some mental health issues, and Makoto comes across as immature and a womanizer as the series progresses. The story might seem slow and boring at first, but that ending can be quite shocking because it's truly unexpected.
Conocí está serie en el 2007 gracias a la recomendación de una amiga, sin embargo la dejé en la lista de pendientes y me animé a verla hace poco, aunque al principio tenía mis dudas, diría que me gustó. Al principio se muestra como un anime de romance que explora cosas como la infidelidad y la toxicidad lo cual hace que parezca una telenovela al inicio, sin embargo al menos yo no ví venir ese final tan bizarro y sangriento aunque si se muestra que ambas protagonistas, especialmente Kotonoha tienen algunos problemas mentales y Makoto se muestra como un inmaduro y mujeriego a medida que la serie avanza. La historia puede llegar a ser considerada lenta y aburrida al principio, sin embargo ese final puede llegar a impactar un poco porque de verdad no se ve venir.
I enjoyed the animation style; it's typical of that era. I also really like the character designs, as they drew characters with quite expressive and detailed features back then, and the color palette works perfectly. Another thing I liked about the anime was the soundtrack, especially the opening song, "Innocent Blue," which I found beautiful and quite catchy. In conclusion, I'd say the series is quite engaging, and despite being several years old, I found it interesting and would recommend it, especially to fans of romance with a touch of the bizarre, haha. It's been a pleasure sharing it with you all.
El tipo de animación me agradó, es la propia de esa época y el diseño de los personajes me gusta mucho ya que en esa época dibujaban los personajes con rasgos bastante expresivos y detallados, y la paleta de colores usada funciona a la perfección. Otra cosa que me gustó del anime fue el soundtrack, especialmente la canción de opening "Innocent Blue" la cual me pareció una bonita canción y algo pegajosa. Para culminar, diría que la serie se deja colar y a pesar de que tiene varios años de antigüedad, se me hizo interesante y me gustaría recomendarla, especialmente a los fans del romance con un toque bizarro jajaja, ha sido un placer compartirla con ustedes.
