Film Review: Night Of The Living Dead (1990) [ENG / SPA]

Hello hive moviegoers friends!! How are you today? Happy and blessed Sunday! Today I would like to share my opinion about the first horror movie I've ever saw, I'm a big fan of horror movies since I was 5 and Night Of The Living Dead was my favorite since then.
¡¡Hola amigos cinéfilos de la colmena!! ¿Cómo estás hoy? ¡Feliz y bendecido domingo! Hoy me gustaría compartir mi opinión sobre la primera película de terror que vi, soy una gran fan de las películas de terror desde que tenía 5 años y Night Of The Living Dead era mi favorita desde entonces.

Summary
Orphan brothers Barbara and Johnny are visiting the grave of their mother in Pennsylvania when they are attacked by a zombie who kills Jhonny, Barbara leaves the cemetery and discover what it seems to be an abandoned farm. Once inside she discovers a pack of zombies but is helped by a man named Ben who also is scaping from the zombies. Both begin to make the process barricading the doors and windows to avoid the zombies can come in inside the farm.
Los hermanos huérfanos Barbara y Johnny están visitando la tumba de su madre en Pensilvania cuando son atacados por un zombie el cual mata a Jhonny, Barbara sale del cementerio y descubre lo que parece ser una granja abandonada. Una vez dentro, descubre una manada de zombis, pero la ayuda un hombre llamado Ben el cual también está escapando de los zombis. Ambos comienzan a hacer barricadas en las puertas y ventanas para evitar que los zombis puedan entrar al interior de la granja.
Inside the basement of the farm Barbara and Ben discover other survivors hiding from zombies too, a marriage whose daughter was beating by zombies and a teenage lovers couple. Everybody start to discuss which is the better way to protecting from the zombies who are outside the house. Ben thinks that the basement is a "mortal trap" and proposes to reinforce the barricades placed in the house to prevent zombies from entering and try to find alternate escape routes. Barbara notices that the zombies can't walk fast and have limited mobility. They decide to escape on Ben's car but the marriage decides to stay in the basement taking care of their daughter so the rest leaves them and leave. However, the plan fails when Ben's car explodes due to a gasoline leak caused by a shot fired by Tom to try to open one of the doors, killing him and his partner Judy.
Dentro del sótano de la granja, Barbara y Ben descubren a otros sobrevivientes que también se esconden de los zombis, un matrimonio cuya hija fue golpeada por zombis y una pareja de amantes adolescentes. Todos comienzan a discutir cuál es la mejor manera de protegerse de los zombis que están fuera de la casa. Ben piensa que el sótano es una "trampa mortal" y propone reforzar las barricadas colocadas en la casa para evitar que entren zombis e intentar encontrar vías de escape alternativas. Barbara se da cuenta de que los zombis no pueden caminar rápido y tienen movilidad limitada. Deciden escapar en el auto de Ben pero el matrimonio decide quedarse en el sótano cuidando a su hija por lo que el resto los deja y se van. Sin embargo el plan falla cuando el carro de Ben explota al producirse una fuga de gasolina ocasionada por un disparo ocasionado por Tom para intentar abrir una de las puertas matandólo a el y a su pareja Judy.
Ben returns to the house and find that Harry has wrestled Barbara's gun and is now armed. Meanwhile Harry's daughter Sarah become a zombie ans kills her mother and when she gets where the others are Harry tried to protect her because Ben and Barbara wants to kill her trying to protect themselves. A confrontation ensues and both Ben and Harry are badly wounded , Barbara takes advantage and shoot Sarah. Ben make Harry retreats and Ben enter de cellar where he shoots a zombie Helen. Shortly after Ben goes into shock produced by him wounds and eventually dies. Meanwhile Barbara leaves the house alone and goes for help returning the next day with the town's sheriff and find Ben turned into a reanimated zombie who is shot by the sheriff. She discovers that Harry is alive but she kills him for causing Ben's death. Final scenes shows Barbara whatching all the bodies burning on a pyre.
Ben regresa a la casa y descubre que Harry ha robado el arma de Barbara y ahora está armado. Mientras tanto, la hija de Harry, Sarah se convierte en zombie y mata a su madre y cuando llega donde están los demás Harry intenta protegerla porque Ben y Barbara quieren matarla tratando de protegerse a sí mismos. Se produce un enfrentamiento y tanto Ben como Harry resultan gravemente heridos, Barbara aprovecha y dispara a Sarah. Ben hace que Harry se retire y Ben entra en el sótano donde le dispara a una Helen zombie. Poco después Ben entra en shock producido por sus heridas y finalmente muere. Mientras tanto, Barbara sale sola de la casa y busca ayuda y regresa el día siguiente con el alguacil de la ciudad y encontrar a Ben convertido en un zombie reanimado al que el alguacil le dispara. Ella descubre que Harry está vivo pero lo mata por causar la muerte de Ben. Las escenas finales muestran a Bárbara observando a todos los cuerpos ardiendo en una pira.
Premiered in October 19, 1990 it's a remake from the 1968 movie from the same name. Directed by Tom Savini and with Tony Todd and Patricia Tallman as the main protagonists of the film.
Estrenada el 19 de Octubre de 1990 es un remake de la película de 1968 del mismo nombre. Dirigida por Tom Savini y con Tony Todd y Patricia Tallman como los principales protagonistas de la película.
My opinion
Well, the first time I watched this movie it was with my dad who used to like this kind of movies when I was a little girl. Actually this movie is the reason why I started to interest this kind of movie at an early age because it was the first one I saw. I liked the make up of the zombies (although at first I thought they were really zombies) and the movie trama was very entertained to me. It has been a long time since I had seen it but recently I had the opportunity of whatched again because I found a digital copy inside my computer. I also really liked the special effects as they were quite realistic for the time and in my opinion it's a very good horror movie. After this I watched another movies like "An American Werewolf In Paris" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" which contributed too to my liking for this kind of movies which I still have. I never get tired of watching this movie and would like to recommend it to everyone.
Bueno, la primera vez que vi esta película fue con mi papá a quien le gustaban este tipo de películas cuando yo era una niña. De hecho, esta película es la razón por la que empecé a interesarme por este tipo de películas a una edad temprana ya que fué la primera que vi. Me gustó la maquillaje de los zombies (aunque al principio pensé que en realidad eran zombis) y la trama de la película me entretuvo mucho. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que lo había visto pero recientemente tuve la oportunidad de volver a verla ya que encontré una copia digital dentro de mi computadora. También me gustaron mucho los efectos especiales porque eran bastante realistas para la época y en mi opinión es una muy buena película de terror. Después de esta vi otras películas como "Un hombre lobo americano en París" y "La leyenda de Sleepy Hollow" que contribuyeron también a mi gusto por este tipo de películas que aún conservo. Nunca me canso de ver esta película y me gustaría recomendarla a todos.

¡Wow, amiga! Me hiciste recordar viejos tiempos porque yo también veía esta peli desde que era chiquita, me aterraba y me fascinaba al mismo tiempo, jaja tuve pesadillas por causa de ella, pero aún así cada vez que la transmitían en tv yo la veía. Jajaja una vez mi mamá me castigó (ya ni recuerdo porqué) y me prohibió verla (yo estaba encerrada en mi cuarto y me moría por salir a la sala para verla, a pesar de que ya la había visto algunas veces)
