Cherry Blossoms and Mount Fuji Study Sketch

It is springtime here in France, I decided to learn to draw some cherry blossoms. I've seen a few cherry blossoms in Tokyo, Japan during the autumn season but I've seen many cherry blossoms in full bloom during the spring season in Taipei, Taiwan. Maybe soon, I will blog about my cherry blossoms experience in another blog.

The original plan was to draw cherry blossoms using Morandi acrylic pens, Double-head pens, and Stabilo pens. Unfortunately, I don't have the step-by-step process because I enjoyed sketching it already.

When I finished sketching the cherry blossoms, I was like, why not add Mount Fuji? I searched on Pinterest for some inspiration on what Mount Fuji would be like from afar with cherry blossoms. Anyway, I just made it as simple as I could.

I really enjoyed doing my study sketch using all the materials that I had. My ultimate goal is to paint Mount Fuji with cherry blossoms.

My Inspiration for doing this study sketch

This is a personal photo taken from an airplane on my way to Hong Kong in 2015.

A selfie taken from my iPad when I stayed 25 days in Taipei, in 2017. Cherry blossoms are located at Yangmingshan National Park.

Soon, I am excited to paint my travel memories on a sketchpad.
