There Is Dignity In Teaching :My Students My Priority

Good evening great people of home edders community, trust you had a very wonderful day.
This is my first time writing in this community, have been reading a lot of post here and I'm inspired and eager to be part of it.
So I decided to make my own post.

As a teacher I'm growing up to become I know there is a lot to invest in the lives of my students.
Both the parents and teachers has a role to play.
It's the joy of every parent to see their children smiling to come back home every school days
It's also the joy of the teacher to see his students achieving their goals
It's also the joy of the children to Know that they have a teacher who cares,love, cherish, understand them.

For me been a teacher doesn't mean I should just come in teach and go my way even if my children understands it or not
Las Las I go still collect salary.
First I try to understand them,I try to Know their weaknesses and fear,I bring them closer by giving a listening ears to every single complain the have without tiredness,I play with them, communicate more,I engage in the things the also love doing not just all about me,they are my top priority,trust me when your able to do these they will always want to listen to you more.

Today,I told them that Its going to be all about them,they should do anything that I'm with them.

So I had the chance to discuss,

I asked one of my boy,what do you love doing? He said he loves drawing and I was like wow!!!he said if he could draw for me to see, of course I said yes
And dis was what my boy sketch.
Even if he is not perfect,I know he is still learning so I encourage him,I applauded him
Trust me he was so happy and next Time he will want to draw more better than this for me to rate him.

After that my girl told me she loves singing and playing her timberline if she could play for me,of course I said yes
She played it as noise because there was no Melody in it
Instead of me shouting that she can't do it,I simply took it from her and corrected her then she sang and played it happily with that smile I was also happy.

Putting smiles on the faces of my students is my priority. I scolded them when needed,I correct them when they are wrong and then still bring them back to myself.there is no need to be rude and mean because certainly they won't be able to understand you, understand them first and this smile is also your smile.

Yes!!! going to school is not all about reading, teaching, learning,you also have to Know your students, don't leave it for only the parents.

While we were still talking,I came across one of my students with a long and dirty nails,I was moved to asked while they were like that. He replied "my mummy is always busy,she doesn't have time". parents becomes so busy and tired thats why the brought them to be under our care as teachers.
I had to call his elder brother and told him to cut them off
Because I know that those nails will always reach his mouth.

I was promoted to check everyone nails and I beat some which the didn't take any offense.

As a teacher I sit my children down,I talk to them about the little I know, we share ideas,tell stories,play and laugh when needed.i bring myself to the level they will understand me. It's very easy for them to learn that way.
If I teach them they don't understand they will always come back for explanations,they won't be scared that I might flog or Shout at them or even saying things like "why are you so dumb and slow to learn,those ones that understand do they have 4 heads"things like this makes them quiet even if they don't understand for fear of you.you don't have to compare them,carry them along,it's a process give them time
We all have our weaknesses.

My girl has been struggling to use the pen and write 😁🤣
It was really fun.

Finally,as a teacher my student are my family,so I share the little I have with them,do this little things which makes them crave to study, engaged them in a competition with gifts attached

Trust me they will always want to be in school without been forced.
Open your arms to receive them, make them feel loved,impart more to their lives.
Let them feel the need for schooling.
