I believe that whale shark sight seeing in Oslob is one of the best activities that makes your family bonding more exciting and fun. It's an activity that's very child and adult friendly just to always follow the guidelines.

I highly recommend that you go there as early as possible so you can avoid the heat of the sun while enjoying the whales. And you can also prevent the whales from getting stressed if there's tons of visitors at watching them and swimming at once.

The boatman feeding the whale shark. I believe they are fed with sergestid shrimps and fish larvae, the smell definitely stinks and that's the disgusting part. You have to endure that smell for the entire duration of the activity.

My aunt getting ready to swim with the whale shark. It's her first time to visit Oslob and to encounter these gentle giants. She's really excited and glad to try this fun activity.

This was the time my uncle wanted me to take him a photo as he was trying to pretend to be the whale shark. This was really fun. I'm looking forward for more family trips in the future.

It's another day, another blog! I am bringing you to one of the most visited tourist attractions in Southern Cebu, the Whale shark sightseeing in Oslob, Cebu. There are a few tourist destinations in Oslob and one of which I've already made a post about a few days ago. I've seen the gigantic whale sharks for a couple of times already and it feels good to know that the whale sharks are still in good condition and they are taken good care of. I just want to share that this activity has been controversial for some people since they find it unethical to make use of these whales for business knowing that it's very risky to bring people near them saying that it's detrimental to their health but I personally believe that there's nothing wrong with it as long as the management is following safety protocols not just for the people but as well as to the whales' safety.

**HOW TO GET TO OSLOB WHALE SHARK? **

The journey starts from South Bus Terminal and choose the ceres bus going heading to Bato via Liloan. It would normally take 3 to 4 hours to get there. For the fare, it costs from 120 pesos (2.18 US dollars) to 200 pesos (4 US Dollars) depending on what type of bus if air conditioned or not.

The whale sharks are located at Brgy. Tan.awan, as its very popular, you can just simply inform the driver or its assistant to drop you off to the place. It's very accessible since it is just along the highway. Upon arrival, there will be a short orientation regarding the guidelines and policies of the activity. You need to attend the orientation so that you can avoid harming the whales and for your own safety.

They have different rates for tourists that prefer only to watch the whale sharks or will rent the swimming gears like snorkeling apparatus. For local tourists it ranges from 300 pesos (6 US Dollars) - 500 pesos (9.10 US Dollars). For foreign tourists, that's 1,000 pesos (21 US Dollars).

As far as I remember, the activity only lasts one to two hours since there are schedules when they're going to feed the whales. That's why it's better to go and see the whale sharks before going to other activities in Oslob.

That's basically it, I hope you liked this episode and I hope to interact with you in the comment section below. Everyone's glad to hear the stories of yours! Just always remember that learning is a lifetime process. You can learn from your experiences, trips and from other people. The world is so vast. Explore and Learn! Traveling isn't is as expensive as you think! There's a so called travelling on a frugal way with a purpose!
DEUCES!

Isn't the pandemic over already? Corona is coming back in europe, but the rules aren't yet. I hope it stays like that.
I would love to return soon, however, I think I won't be able to return this year. But who knows!

I hope you will stay around here kn Hive! I have been asking Bella and a view others of the old crowd to return, but nobody seems interested. It's good that you are!
