It's more fun in La Isla, this welcomes you as soon as you arrive at the restobar. It's good that they showcase their mouth-watering dishes, fun activities and different tourist destinations in the Island.

They also have catchy decorations like this funny phrase written on plank woods stating that "You shouldn't imprison yourself in loneliness, go out and flirt". It's hilariously on point.

As for me, this is just one of the underrated resorts in Surigao City. I just love how they maintain the cleanliness of the area and its environment.

The resort is mainly a restaurant. Most people go there for a daytrip to eat out and try their specialty. They mostly serve seafoods but you can also order meat and vegetables.

The restaurant is mainly built by woods, bamboos and nipa huts. I would never get tired of visiting native restaurants having this kind of interior design. This just feels like home.

They also have a balcony wherein you can relax and watch the sunset. It's really instagramable.

I like the idea that they also put up another dining area just by the beach. Enjoying the food while feeling the ocean breeze.

There's nothing to worry when visiting during weekend and holidays because I believe they have more than enough tables and chairs to dine in. They also provide additional whenever there's a lot of customers but I guess they limit the number of guests.

One thing that you shouldn't miss is watching the sunset in the balcony. This is also the best place to go for a swimming since there are ladders that you can hold or sit on while dipping into the water.

For today's episode, I am bringing you to one of our hometown's pride in Surigao Del Norte, Philippines. Mindanao is the second largest island in the Philippines archipelago and it's known for being the Land of Promise for the reason that it's very rich in biodiversity and natural resources. It is located in the Southern part of the Philippines.

One of the major reasons that I promote Mindanao not only to my friends who haven't visited the land but also to the people of the internet is because we have this stigma that Mindanao is occupied by terrorists which make it unsafe and underrated. If only people knew that these terrorists are only hiding in the most southern part of Mindanao and it's very controllable.

There are so many places in Mindanao including our hometown which are safe and have the best natural tourist attractions. Surigao City is known to be the gateway of Mindanao and The City of Island adventures because it's very accessible to its neighbouring islands and definitely has plenty of exciting activities.

If you like relaxing and eating at the beach, let me bring you to one of the most visited floating cottages in Day-asan, Surigao del Norte. The area is originally a floating village where there's a living community along the shorelines.

The village has hugely changed since the last time I visited a long time ago. As time goes by, businesses have emerged in the area and built not only floating cottages but also restaurants. One of these is the La Isla resort & restaurant.

La isla is located at Brgy. Day-asan Surigao City. It is only a 45 minutes to an hour land trip from the city proper. Upon arrival at Brgy. Day-asan, you need to ride a boat going to the floating cottages. It's an exciting boat ride since you will also see the beautiful mangrove trees and rock formations that formed the waters like lagoons.

It also has room for rents for those who are planning to stay overnight with rates from 300 pesos (6.00 US Dollars) to 500 pesos (10 US Dollars). In our case, we just had day trip so we needed to go back to the port before 6PM. It's better that you before going to La Isla you may want to get the contact number of the boatman so it would be easier to go back to the port anytime you want so you don't have to wait for the next available ride.

That's basically it, I hope you liked this episode and I hope to interact with you in the comment section below. Everyone's glad to hear the stories of yours!
