Gent - Shops & Restos | 根特 —— 店铺

After watching The Mosquito Coast, an old movie starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, I thought of a restaurant in Gent with the same name. BTW, has anyone watched the 2021 TV series The Mosquito Coast?

In reality, The Mosquito Coast is a coastal band of Nicaragua and Honduras skirting the Caribbean Sea. Both the film and the restaurant in Gent conjure up travel tales. The resto offers a wide selection of Flemish classics and world cuisine. It has a globetrotter atmosphere with an extensive display of travel books, photos and souvenirs.

昨晚看了老电影《蚊子海岸》，觉得不错，引人思考，表演等各方面也很到位，不明白当年为什么票房惨败，哈里森·福特说这是他主演的唯一一部没有收回成本的电影。他在里边不仅是移动的荷尔蒙，还是移动的发明家、移动的偏执狂。今年的同名新剧有谁看过吗，不知道怎么样。

电影根据虚构小说改编，丛林的取景地在伯利兹，是中美洲唯一以英语为官方语言和唯一没有太平洋海岸线的国家。事实上，蚊子海岸是在伯利兹南边洪都拉斯和尼加拉瓜沿海的一长条。当年独自环游美洲时，因为时间和签证原因没能从墨西哥南下到伯利兹，后来也没能从巴拿马北上到这几个国家。当时觉得有点小遗憾，接着听闻其他独立背包客的恐怖经历，想想没有只身瞎闯过去可能还算幸运，又深感那时的自己真像只初生牛犊，天不怕地不怕，却不知道天多高地多厚，呵呵。不过热带丛林还是去过几次，那个湿热，一言难尽。观影时，看到演员们汗流浃背地干重活，我都替他们捏把汗，仿佛自己也置身酷热难耐的环境中。

根特也有家餐馆叫蚊子海岸，不晓得主人是不是也曾看过这部电影，或者到过那块地方。但可以肯定的是，他/她也是爱旅行爱冒险之人，店内布满世界各地的旅行书、照片和纪念品，吃喝也是环球风。
